  • the second light the dumptruck "ran" he was actually in the intersection when it turned red..depending on what kind of stuff he was carrying it couldve been the safest option to roll through the light

i cant imagine what excitement you drivecam people get from this sort of thing..

  • @vettedude418 I realized that, after I uploaded, the second light was yellow when they entered the intersection, and therefore legal. I can't speak for other people who upload similar videos, but the reason I upload these is, partially, to vent some frustration caused by the drivers we see on the road. The videos help us relate with other drivers on the road with similar issues. Also, by analyzing these, it teaches me what to avoid doing so that I become a safer driver.

  • Good compilation here. Hope to see what you've captured when you get back to the bigger internets.

  • @NOVAdashcam Glad you like it. I see you have some neat compilations as well. After having some hardware problems with my laptop, I finally got it back from getting serviced under warranty, so I can do video processing again. Hopefully, I'll find time over the next week to process the 50 or so clips I have queued up.

  • oooooo truck 477 i just had to say i love that truck one of my favs exept for 472

  • @theXcenter I don't know all the numbers for all the local fire department trucks without going to the various websites. Can't say I have a favorite either, they're all pretty cool. I heard sirens today and listened to the police radio about a brush fire in the 5300 block of West Ridge. I didn't get a chance to go out and see what that was all about though.

  • not sure about your laws

but in Canada, if there is no concrete median, both sides of traffic must move over for an emergency vehicle

  • @mlps93 Yes, you are correct. We are also required to move over and stop. However, what you can't see in the video is that a car was beside me. I decided that the safest thing to do would be to slow down and stay in my lane considering that the emergency vehicle had both their lane and the center turning lane for use and they appeared to want to go straight.

  • You stop uploading for now?

  • @machsad1 I spent the summer away from home without a good internet connection. I have several videos queued for uploading, just waiting for a good connection. The first will be an emergency vehicle compilation. Might have some storm footage considering there is a storm heading our way right now with some tornado vortex signatures in it.

  • @mattbjrs Alright nice. We hadnt heard from you in months, so just wondering, lol.

  • Intersting points you bring up. The first clip with the emergency vehicle you should have yeilded as well, sense there is no solid median. It's the same point as the school bus clip. It is not a solid median / divided highway.

  • @machsad1 Yeah, I was trying to get over into the right lane, however there was a car next to me and one behind me so I slowed down and stayed as far right as possible.

  • @mattbjrs Ah, makes sense. Good footage though!

  • you add a video a day?

    Beautiful video!

  • @bourdondanslespace About 2 or 3 per month. Now that the semester is over, they will be posted more randomly.

  • wow ive sprayed water but never on my self! car made a crazy fast move wow that was crazy. dump truck had time to stop the first time but jwalker shouldnt have been walking til red for you guys! hate no blinker people! ive had alarms scare me too! nice captures! the van flew by the pedestrian!

  • @rextinctione Yeah, so many jaywalkers in this one lol

  • Could you not pull out to avoid the flood or was there a car parallel to you? Also, when the pedestrian was nearly struck, my heart skipped one massive beat! :O

    Great video!

  • @daniel32885 There was nobody next to me, I intentionally went through it lol.

Yeah, when I saw it in person, I thought they were going to get hit. That would've been a major accident since the van was speeding.

  • Do people on both sides of the road have to stop for a school bus? And that puddle was huge LOL.

  • @04smallmj Yes, both lanes must stop for the bus. The only exception is if the other lane is across a divided highway (there is a physical barrier between the lanes).

  • Hmm. Do you have new vehicle or what?

On #6 clip, someone do that to me, but for like 10 or 20 seconds? I don't even know why I didn't honk my horn for so long time. I mean, I was sitting, staring, shocking why the driver doesn't even notice that the light is green.

  • @DrivingandDashcam Haha, that would be cool if I had a new vehicle. Nope, it is my parents' 1997 Saturn SC-2. My Jeep failed state inspection and had to spend 2 days in the shop.

If I didn't have a traffic jam behind me I might have just sat there and saw how long it took them to notice it. It would be scary if they miss an entire green light!
