yes from 1998 to 2008 Sri Lankan was managed by a board appointed by Emirates. This move was thought innapropirate by the current President and did not extend the agreement.

Exactly this means inefficiency is going to rise and to cover that Sri Lankan airline price will increase. Also the long haul flights are cramped because of the reduced leg space. Getting nearer bankrupt. eg: London > CMB tkt in SL £575. Other air lines Quatar, Quait, Eurofly from £330. What a difference. Sri Lankan flights are also average 13 years old... :-0 You like your life OR you like to fly in Sri Lankan ?????
