i have so much respect for you sir... people wanna talk bad about you or to you,but YOU are the one making their days by providing the earphones for them! this isn't an easy task, your life is on the line as well but you put it out there for these precious children... God sent you there for a reason and you are doing a good job... if i can help by providing you with more batteries or headphones, please let me know! thank you god bless you
@dannyboyAZUSA Thanks for your generous offer. You are the first person in nearly three years to have offered to help. If I go back to India I may take you up on it. But, for now, there is no project going on offering great music to the indigent children.
how wonderful of you to experience the world in this way and help children. If only more people had this much desire and determination then the world would be a better place for everyone. This is really what i wish to do someday after i finnish with school...
your videos are great, the only thing that bothers me a little is your clothes :-) i think you should have been dressed a bit more casually, like the kids maybe, just to fit in better for the viewers :-)
@glutamin111 Thanks for your kind remarks. I hope you will fulfill your desire to help those less fortunate, once you finish your education. And this sharing music through headphones with underprivileged children is one powerful way to spread joy. An even more effective way is being championed by the DavidLynchFoundation (dot org). Check it out!
when Americans find out that I lived much of my childhood in South Asia they inevitably say 'Wow, isnt India so magical/mystical/etc'... Not exactly, the place people imagine does not exist. But there are magical moments to be had, it has more to do with connection of people that can be hard to find here in USA... it is moments like this that make me miss even the stink, sweat, curry, diesel, incense, and noise. I miss the connection.
sir i dont get it i know its not easy that way but im pretty sure you in your power you could make it a way...that if these children are homeless then why don't you take some back with you because they can have better lifes and i'm not saying for you to adopt them all but you can secretly take them then put them in a GOOD foster home here in the usa because they can have most of that -i would-=-)
@bitzykitty I apologize for using the word "homeless" since these kids had families. True, they didn't have what we commonly call a house...they lived under sheets of plastic, or in the roofless house you see in the background of this video. But they had loving families and, as you can see in this video, had a lot of happiness in spite of their material poverty.
Thanks for doing this. I would have enjoyed the video even more if I listened to the same music the children are hearing. You prevented me from learning from their eyes. Thanks again.

Some great work you've done. I guess nowadays, with slightly better technology, you can buy mini speakers and/or radios to play out music, instead of having private sessions with individuals.
We have a lot of poor childrens on my country too. We cant dany the reality just to please our ego. Wonderfull simple and great work. Who are able to criticize just show your capacity to do better. How many people have courage to be good enough and expose this on youtube? if you have 36 collors to paint life and you dont know what to do, someone with 2 collors can be better than you. Facts sound better than words. Great work*
Thank you for your kind words, Aline. I really like the analogy about the colors!
Learning english listening to the Beatles! You are doing well! I learned portuguese as an exchange student in Brazil (Tatui, SP) and learned alot from Roberto Carlos songs in 1966. Wonderful India and the lovable childrens! I'm very emotionated with this movie... Better than criticize any work is do something else and show your capacity.
I learn english with beatles and internet, my country have the same problem. Music feeds soul, open doors and expand our vision. Doesnt matter if is few time of entertainament, somethings on life we never forget.
The power of music is intense and immesurable. Your work is Simple and Fantastic!
If you would like information about why i made this video, please click on the link to the upper right of the screen marked "more info". I made this primarily for myself as a recording of the very memorable experiences I had with these neighborhood children from 1997-2000. Later, I decided to edit it to make it presentable to others. When I get the time I will edit it further and add the music that the kids were actually listening to.
You are a wonderful person Sir. Please keep doing such wonderful acts of happiness. :)

@trsarathi You are right. Unfortunately, circumstances have prevented me from using the actual music. Perhaps I will be able to correct it one day.

Music is a universal language.
It enters the soul through a wide open door.
Emotions, feeling level, allows a lot more information to enter and develop in their intelligence.
All the best wishes for your project to continue.
