i think the tier list is a joke. you could have a low tier character yet still do amazing. its all what others say and believe ranks best. i agree meta knight is a great character, he's fast and powerful. but there are plenty of characters to master. i would walk out of a tourney if someone told me they chose a char cuz he's a high tier. diddy is amazing yet i don't need bananas to do great with him.

@ZeroTuck It's both man...the tier is there for a reason. It's to say that if players of equal caliber were to play then the ADVANTAGE (not the win) would be in the favor of the player using the higher rated character. That's all. While the tier is by no means perfect (I believe it was Fox that was able to shift past Bowser in one instance) I believe it still is more than a "joke."

It depends. I mean the tier placement is also based on the weaknesses of the characters. I mean Link, Mario, and Yoshi can do battle really well but compared to DiddyKong, Snake, Metaknight, they have weaknesses that are much easier to exploit. Nearly all of the lower tier characters can easily be KO'ed if they get even a little bit nudged away from the stage since majority of them have horrible recovery.

one neat little thing is diddy can use his run a to attack while he picks it up so you can throw it run up attack grab it again and throw it. but yeah it is wierd my main changes when ever I take a break from playing it started as zelda then went to falco > jiggly > ness and now it is on diddy kong. I go in ready to beat the person and just find I am not good with who I use to be and have to use random till I find my new main =(
