@jamesyboyoioi - Tabs? I thought everybody just picks up their bass and can immediately play a funky groove... There always seems to be someone asking for the tabs to a song. I play all my different instruments by ear, if I hear something, I can play it after a minute or so of learning it. I kinda like that way of playing.

In my humble opinion, I thinks its easier to just figure out by listening and hands on the fretboard, than by reading tabs. I have never seen a tab sheet, and couldn't read one if I did. I don't consider myself a skilled bass player OR a skilled sax player, but the fun level is off the roof.

Hi.... is it really necessary for me to use a Bass processor for playing. I'm just a beginner and i have this really old Zoom bass processor. The problem is that it makes too much of a static noise and kills the fun of playing. Can one get Slap and pops directly through a regular Guitar Amp?

@sparky9070 it's probably not going to sound very good through a guitar amp no matter what you do. With a bass amp, you can get a good pop/slap sound without a processor, just play around with the bass/mid/treble and find a tone that you like.
