LOL, you just aimlessly click on stuff with no rhyme or reason. This is a thinking game, you need to study your flow charts so you know what to click on. You spent 2,000 years doing pretty much noting. I would delete and start over. You dont have to start where it puts you, use your warrior to scout, should try to start a scout first thing, try oh never mind. Entertaining though.

Why was Animal Husbandry the best choice? What were your other choices? What was that monk chanting sound? Please explain what’s going on? During the slow beginning of the game would be a good time to explain things, even though “Come on, Animal Husbandry” is funny.  Your comments on meeting the leaders were also fun. Why isn’t Mysticism a bad choice? (I know sailing would be pointless at this stage.)

You could have sent your warrior to explore. Animals don't attack your borders, barbarians don't appear until after 200 BCE and other nations usually don't attack until they have archers or axemen, which eat your warrior alive anyway. Besides, the techs you get from goodie huts are a huge advantage.

I start off quite drastically differently.

I let the city grow to at least 2 or 3 before making a worker. You also need techs for all the improvements, that takes time. And meanwhile I make another military unit and use one to explore. Exploring is vital I think.

You should probably explore with your first warrior, and then build a second in your city to give it enough time to grow to size 3 or 4 before building a worker, which consumes your surplus food.

The best way to play this is to go on Custom Game, and set the only win mode to Conquest mode, then the ONLY way to win the game is for every other civilization to be destroyed.

Never start by building settlers and workers - The building of those use your food AND production. Production increases greatly with more population, and population uses 2 food per person. You're supposed to wait a bit before producing workers or settlers.

Hi,

Been watching your video, I like your commentary. Don't know how this game turns out in the end and if your strategy is good enough for Settler difficulty, but let me give some tips.

Try waiting till your city grows to 2 before building a worker and 3 before building a settler as when you build those 2 units your city's growth is automatically halted. Also it's probably better to learn work and terrain improvement technologies before anything. In other words Animal Husbandry first.

Yes. For example in normal speed a worker will come out in 10 turns. At marathon I think it's something like 30 turns!
