  • I inherited a completely original folding stock Inland not long ago. It's in great condition, no rust, no pitting, great bore. Small crack in stock, no mag or sling. It's been resting for 40 years....now it needs to be used. Thanks for the video.

  • I just got an m1 carbine from my uncle. It was used by my other uncle in world war 2 and was upgraded in the field, at the end of the war to an m2 stock. It's an Inland with a Springfield stock

  • i got one. :)

  • GREAT video Sir...

I subbed ya and look forward to watching your' videos.

    SPC. A-M

  • I've got a '43 Inland(GM) and shot a 1/2" plate steel 'popper',using the standard lead core,copper FMJ,

    It left a crater about 3/8" deep,and 3/4" wide,from 25 yd.

I've got plenty of experience with a little bit of everything, and this round is NO JOKE.

  • I have a Universal M1 carbine fun to shoot at the range. Recently the front swivel for the sling worked loose forwards, let the wooden piece fly off and up and to continue shooting took a screwdriver and some work to get it done. It appears the vibration worked the screw loose. I am having a gun smith check it out tomorrow just to be careful.

  • Did the rounds pentatrated the steel? Howthick is the steel?

  • @Mr2wings Its hardened steel and barely chips the paint. 30 Carbine isnt known for knock down (but it will tear up a varmint with a 110 gr Hollow Point)

  • @olarmyjoel You can extend the clip to 30 rounds right?

  • @marcelthemaoist Its a magazine, and yes you can.

  • I'm tired of all the people who play cod waw and think they know the gun but in reality they don't! I have one and I have a vid of me shootin it and a review of it

  • i got to shoot this gun at my field trip and it was awesome

  • @disturbedone5009

No the sturmgewehr 44 was the first assault rifle

  • @rotflmfaololzomg First MODERN assault rifle platform, the WORLD'S FIRST assault rifle was the Russian M1916 Avtomat assault rifle, fired the intermediate 6.5mm round from a 25 round detachable box at 550 RPM

  • @rotflmfaololzomg The Russian troops liked the weapon, but it was never mass produced because it was seen as not traditional weaponry by the Russian military.

  • @LoneWolf051 There Germans liked the carbine also. I have several pic's from WWII of Germans carrying captured M1 Carbines.

  • @mp40jager Yeah they liked the carbine's small size, light weight, and great stopping power at close range.

  • it would be better with stopping power...

  • depends what level of sensitivity your ears are at, both the m1 and the m1-a1 fire the same ammo, and are just as loud as eachother.

  • Is earplugs neccesary for the M1A1 Carbine?

  • its spelled carbine but pronounced carbeen.

  • Who the fuck cares how u say it,its correct either way

  • One thing most people don't realize is that the Carbine was supposed to be a Pistol REPLACEMENT. Not to replace it completely but to be shot more accurately than a Pistol. These were carried by Crew served weapon operators. Mortar Men, MG operators, AT and Radio operators. Anything a Soldiers who's primary misson was not a Rifleman. I love the Carbine but most Veterans I've spoke to said it was a POS. I've also read the same impression in After Action Reports in Normandy and Korea.

  • yer haha carbeen im pretty sure its Car-bine

  • You could always look it up instead of shooting off your mouth. Then you would find that it is correct either way.

  • @ryangamv8 Actually it IS Car-bean, due the French origins the word derrives from.

  • @ryangamv8 Yeah and actually you are more likey wrong mr. correction dude. It's car-bean.

  • Whats a carbean? Does he mean CarBINE? :P

  • Tomayto/Tamahto, big deal

  • Cunt/Twat , big deal

  • lol

  • "Carbeen" is the proper way to say it, out of respect for the French origins the word derives from.

  • @LoneWolf051 And out of respect for the proud English tradition of butchering the words of every other language in the world, it can also be Car-bye-n. :D God Save the Queen's English! Oh, don't neglect Yankee speak, they none too particular either.

  • @Stritchers ...Um, Ok. Just dont get caught in a professional discussion about it and say it like that, professionals frown upon it.

  • nice shootin

  • sexy sound.

  • The M1 does not fire a pistol round because the round was designed specifically for this rifle. It is an intermediate round. The M1 was originally designed to shoot full auto and semi auto but that feature was removed for the production model. So in reality the M1 is the first widely used assault rifle.

  • Correct! The M1 was supposed to have a select fire capability, but when the US entered WW2, they were to late to install the select fire capability, so they sent it off anyways. The M2 does feature the select fire capability. The M1 was the first widely used assault rifle, but the first assault rifle would be the STG-44 or the MP-44.

  • @disturbedone5009 It wasn't classified as an assault rifle because it didn't hold as many rounds, and didn't fire automatically.

  • @DJonX7

The mag capacity doesn't have anything to do with being an assault rifle or not.

  • @disturbedone5009 you're right i guess.

  • ive heard it both ways but isnt it carb "i" ne

    and not car "bean"

  • its pronounced either way

  • Yeah, its Carb "i" ne. Although, many people call it a Car "bean" and lets face it, Car "bean" is just more fun to say. lol.

  • thanks

  • that's my favorite gun

  • NICE..... were can i get one like that....with a folding stock?

  • you can buy a repro folding stock for around $200 on the internet. This is a real one and I have seen complete guns for $2500-$4000. Mine has every correct part with a very low serial number, but I put it together from parts.

  • Yes, correct! Although, now a repro folding stock with cost around $350. In which, I need to hurry up if im going to buy one!

  • thats a m1a1 carbine but still good videos but the m1 carbine has full wood thing the m1a1 thats in this video has the folding stock but still like i said good video

  • he said "this paticular one is a m1a1 carbine" on top of that its called a stock lol wood thing

  • love these guns, have two myself. Very fun to shoot.

  • nice owned lol

  • "Carbeen" does sound very awkward though.

  • I can be used either way, the merriam webster states that it is "carbeen", but it really dosent matter. I hope to purchase one of these soon, great vid :)

  • Comment removed

  • The paratroopers must have looked pretty funny with this gun. Imagine a huge guy, with so many packs on his bag, running on you with this little piece of wood.

  • carbeen!!lolz!!! cool vid though

  • i shot 1 of those are sick they only have the kick of a 20ga

  • i have one... mine has a scope :-)

  • nice shots

  • can be pronounces carebean or carbine cause of the words origin so if you want to sound like a "samrtypants" say carbean doesnt really make i difference i just want to see guns xD

  • cool gun

  • you say it both ways

  • lol the m1a1 carbine with the other stock looks like a classy gun like its a rich people gun lol thats my look on it and i love it

  • It is pronounced car-bean. The word's origin is french. Thanks for the vid 5*s. The only thing that bothered me is that the "Cooksey Ranch" sign reminds me of the "Arbeit Macht Frei" sign at the front gate of Auschwitz. Or maybe I just thought of that because the vid is based on WWII, whatever, keep 'em coming!

  • beannerrrrrr

  • M1 CARBEAAAANNN!!!

  • hahah!!

  • i h8 the way he pronounces carbine. good vid tho

  • Thats how it is actually pronounced.

  • depends where your from. me n my m8s pronounce it with capitol i, where as he ses it with a lower case i. jst depends how u learn it and where ur from, there aint any wright or wrong.

  • your a good shot!

  • is that the paratrooper version? it looks more light and compact, something they would use.

  • Yes, the M1A1 version has the folding stock and designed for paratroopers. They had a hip scabbard for it to hang from the pistol belt. However, the rest of the gun is identical and there are tons of repro para stocks out there that you can put a carbine in. This gun is 100% correct with an original folding stock. I put it together from parts, but they are all the correct parts with the corresponding code letters.

  • Wow. Ive been looking for the paratrooper M1A1. Yours is really nice by the way.

  • tomatoes Tamatoes :)

  • What the hell is a "Car-beeen"

  • it means shorter or less powerful weapon

  • I know what Carbine means, I was just poking fun at how he pronounced it.

  • oh, i see

  • thats how its pronouced if you were smart you shit fuck

  • Well,+ excuse me for not knowing everything in the world, you fucking elitist prick.

  • sorry man i was just trying to prove a point

  • Alright, no need to throw verbal abuse at me for something that most people get wrong.

  • is the m1a1 carbine a millitary wepon?

  • It used to be

  • in 1942-1945 it was

  • I don't think I wanna get hit by any type of gun.

  • agreed

  • it can be pronounced either way. i say carbyne, you say carbean

  • i am not critisising, but is it pronouced carbeeeen like this guy, or carbiiine, if you know what i mean ????

  • nice gun

  • sorry i get confused

  • 1st cav hooah

  • a small but powerful weapon nice job

  • Cool vid, nice killing little people lol.

  • i just call it a boomsstick.

  • my dad has one of these they awsome i shot it yesterday do u know where to buy more clips

  • carbines don't use clips, they use magazines

  • The debate how to say the word "carbine" is ridiculous. People should just say it however they want to. Personally, I say and like it as "carb-eye-n". I guess it sounds cooler to me.

I just notice that older people say "car-bean" and my peers say "carb-eye-n".

If you've got half a brain, you would know that they're the same.

    Nice vid, BTW.

  • i say carb eye n too lol, i was always taught in school the ine means the E MAKES THE I SAY ITS NAME. lol

  • who cares how carbine is pronounced

  • Is that you shooting that gun? It looks like it is accurate with good stopping power! Wish I could get my hands on one of those!

  • Yes, that is me. They are definately getting more expensive. The good days were in about 1990 when they started importing them back from Korea. I bought two for $165 each!

  • Nice! Lucky you! Enjoy them for me. I think I saw one the other day in a Sporting Good store for about $1,100 jeesh they went up!

  • thats pretty good but i know about 20 of you, and they all say long I, thats where i get my knowledge from. Im sure there is people that say it long E ive just never heard it b4 and found it to be not the norm

  • lol

    m1 carbean? XD

    its carbine

like that other guy said it rhymes with dine

  • those targets got owned lol

  • but seriously a cool vid, always been my favorite WW2 era weapon

  • lmao carbeen

  • What's funny? That's the correct pronunciation. Carbine Rhymes with dean not dine.

  • hahaha no, its carbine rhymes with dine as both carbine and dine have the same structure they are pronounced the same. Im really close to the military, and everyone says carbine not carbeen.

  • that same gun with the folding stock was in saving private ryan.

  • carbeans LOL

  • michigan you cant have folding stocks

  • it's ok to pronounce it either way

  • he's pronouncing it correctly

  • carbeans

  • nice shot!

  • wtf

  • carabineer ? thats like the german Kar94k spelling is it not

i have to admit sounds silly calling it Car-bean lol

    but good video :D A+++

  • im english

  • yes ppl he sed car bean

  • car-bean?

  • is that hat you are wearing the 7th cavalry? thanks please respond

  • First Cavalry Division. I deployed with them for Desert Shield/Storm and Enduring Freedom.

  • wow! its so small lol

  • so the 30cal pistol magazine is that more like the 9x19 parabellum rounds ??

i want somthing that packs a punch, is this good enough ??

  • I dont have the actual balistic data on hand, but I would say that it has a better punch than a 9mm. I have split armadillos in half with a carbine and 110gr hollow point handloads.

  • wow, sounds like an HK MP5 .40 submachine gun.

sounds wonderful. how would it work out if i had it shiped to my friend in the Marines for Iraq ??

would you say it is combat effective ?

  • I wouldnt be shipping any weapons to Iraq. That is an excellent way to go to jail.

  • why ?

  • 1. Military service members can't take personnal weapons into combat zones. I have seen guys get court martialed for this. Unless you are Delta or SF, you get what they issue you.

    2. You can't mail a weapon to an individual. You can mail a weapon to a factory for repair or for gunsmithing, but it has to belong to you and gets returned to owner. Most of the mail going into theater will be X-rayed.

  • when did that change ? my pop brought his own rifle to Iraq in the first desert storm, and he was a seargent in the Marines.

  • When I was in Desert Storm, we had a 1LT, Infantry, bring his own 45 along. We were told not to and he ignored the order. He ended up being in charge of the mess hall while they waited to court martial him. It has been like this since Viet Nam. If your dad took his own firearm, then they chose to overlook it.

  • idk, because he did take his own custom made AR 15 to desert storm, *shrugs*

he said the one the Marines issued him he left at home. lolz.

he still has both of em.

  • if i could some how go back in time and fight in ww2 i definetly would just for this weapon

  • targers were destroyed!

  • my favorite weapon! thanks for making a video

  • how much is an M1-grand cause im thinking of buying one as my first firearm

  • the carbines seem to be in the $500 range and the garands are $800 or so for a decent one.

  • Can Civies legally own an M1 Garand or Carbine? I'm considering buying one

  • Listen up Yankees, carbine is correctly pronounced either way; with a long E or I. Here is the book definition.

    Main Entry: car·bine

    Pronunciation: \ˈkär-ˌbēn, -ˌbīn\

    Function: noun

Etymology: French carabine, from Middle French carabin carabineer

    Date: 1592

1 : a short-barreled lightweight firearm originally used by cavalry

2 : a light short-barreled repeating rifle that is used as a supplementary military arm or for hunting in dense brush

  • thank you!!!

i hate when people are always being retarded about this

    this word goes both ways...(teehee)

  • lol car-bean lol its car-bine from what i heard xD sounds funny when its said as bean xD no offence of corse -_-

  • awesome video. we still have my grandfather's M1A1 from when he was in north africa. we also have his .45 1911.

  • North Africa? :)

  • he mite be british since most of them was in africa in WWII.

  • yes i Know :)....now i remember that US was in the North too...OMAN etc

  • I love my paratrooper carbine. Its a piece of US military history. But If Im in a SHTF situation Im going either to my M-4 or my L1A1.

  • nice;) I just LOVE the m1 carbine
