  • they really over did the scene the comedian and Ozymandias are human they should have made the scene grittier and more realistic

  • kinda felt bad for the comedian in this scene. I don't konw why, but I did.

  • The Comedian got a few good licks in against Ozzy.

  • 0:56 300 reference?

  • This scene was intense , entertaining and amazing until the end where the glass is still falling and half of it melts/disappears as it falls around him.... They spend more money on making movies these days over paying attention to details welcome to the lazy future of movies...

  • @CapnCrossbones most of the glass had already hit the ground when he did. It's a momentum implied movie affect.

  • @ScotlandsPie I guess but I watch the scene over and over and the glass is mostly gone or still falling even after he is in a pool of blood. I must be fussy ><

  • @CapnCrossbones seems like the viewers are the ones becoming more lazy. lol

  • @ScotlandsPie haha totally , at least this scene was better than all of 300 dang there was no blood on the ground in that movie after a huge battle heh cheers ScotlandsPie

  • Unforgettable scene... the slowly death

  • The Nate King Cole song along with the Comedian's epic way of going out makes this seen unforgettable...get it

  • odd but hilarious

  • You gotta hand it to The Comedian, he went down like a champ.

  • This happened to me when I didn't pay pizzahut. They sent an assassin.

  • its funny how at 0.57 you see the apartment number is 300 and it blocks out the 1. isn't it also funny how the director of this movie was the director of the movie 300. coincidence I think not!

  • comedian got fucked up by adrian

  • 1:40 makes me laugh XD

  • What happens if you have an overdue book..........

  • @SuperMicklovin And when you don't pay your taxes, they send the big guy from The Punisher.

  • I loved this movie, I loved the dialouge and the fight scenes. but one thing to make this scene better was that they could've done a close up on the comedian's face while hes was falling, and showed him laughing.

  • @hardcoreking52 In the comic he wasn't laughing when he fell. Quite the contrary actually... His face was full of fear and horror....

  • best thing a liked about ozzymandias. his fighting style was completely realistic and kicked ass. he was the most deadly person ever right under doctor manhattan

  • LOL! apartement 300! SPARTA!!

  • This scene was awesome, too bad the rest of the movie was crap. The comic was amazing though.

  • Is it just more, or is there a penis statue next to the TV? You can see it in the beginning.

Maybe it's a plant or a candle or something? But it definantly looks like a penis...

  • best moovie opening ever

  • I think itd be cooler if Ozzy,The Prince of Darkness, killed him

  • 4 people dont know how to fight.

  • awesome beginning

  • Nothing but pure win

  • The part where he catches the knife is the greatest thing I've ever seen in a fight scene.

  • i think this would have been more effective without all the slow motion

  • was ozymandias really a villain?

  • @MarvelReviews117 Ozzy wasn't the villain, he just wanted the peace, as all of us. Ozzy was a nice spoiled man, but had to do a huge sacrifice for the humanity's life in a war time! Just it.

  • @0981462 thanks for clearing that up :)

  • 1:28 the only hit veidt took kinda :P

  • thats why it sucks to be living on the top floor..lol

  • A lot of murder scenes use ironically-pleasant music nowadays...

  • @BrotherAtticus I think it's a brilliant idea, what other movies have done it?

  • @BrotherAtticus The original scene was written in the novel to have this song accompany The Comedian's murder.

  • wow i just cant believe how much broken glass is in this fight

  • wow i just cant believe how much glass there is in this fight

  • 1:21

I think Ozzy punched him in the balls. Ouch!

  • because of this movie, i know how to kick down doors like for instance, when my sister takes 5 hours in the bathroom, i can kick it open and throw her out :P

  • this movie has the best fight scenes i have ever seen

  • Am I the only one that notices the big black dildo on the left of the tv in the beginning?...

  • Ha I've watched this film and it's the first time I've noticed that the comedian lives in room 300. Is the Zack Synder having a little joke?

  • What made this scene so great is that it managed to show how damn good the comedian really was while at the same time showing that his opponent had him hopelessly outclassed. WINNING!

  • @writergarrett Yeah. Adrian totally kicked his ass.

  • What made this scene so great is that it managed to show how damn good the comedian really was even though he was getting his ass kicked. It wasn't that he was against a superhuman necessarily, just that he was hopelessly outclassed. WINNING!

  • he's not my fav character but GOD DAMN that man is good!

  • One of the best fight scenes of all time in my opinion!

  • Is it me or is the actor playing the Comedian doubled mot of this fight?

  • The only good scene in Watchmen...the rest sucked for the most part. Comedian all the way.

  • this exact same ting happened to me one night.

  • 2 people got their ass kicked for attempting to beat up someone like the killer.

  • I actually fought I was watching the whole movie ha

  • i think the movie caught this better than the comic but thats the only thing they caught!

  • @Foobyking9000 actually it's 3001 if you look closely the 1 gets taken off by the mug comedian throws

  • what's the song?

  • What the hell is the Comedian watching at 0:24?

  • @jacobinoy its an ad i remember as a kid, back in the 80s i think, it was cologne, or after shave, or something...he just likes the song, nat king cole

  • He put up a pretty good fight for a old guy

  • Just came here to comment purely to tell you to shut the fuck up.

"help me turn this video VIRAL!!!!!! Forward it to as many friends, coworkers, lovers, etc as possible" no. just, no.

  • This always makes me so happy. The Comedian was scum. He is a rapist and has committed countless senseless murders. I LOVE watching scum be exterminated, and Ozymandias is so very, very good at it.

  • @INTJadeSpider except ozymandias is scum too, killing millions of people, "for the greater good" of course...still scum. What I liked about the comedian is he wasnt a hypocrite, unlike just about everyone else in the book.

  • Why the hell does The Comedian have a Penis next to his TV?!?!?!? 0:01

  • @totalburke I thought comedians liked comedy

  • R.I.P. THE COMEDIAN

I MISS YOU YOU OLD FUNNY BASTARD HEHHEEHEH *cry*

    SALUTE !!!

  • Comedian in the movie curses more than he did in the novel.

  • Someone needs to do a proper Watchmen game (not the downloadable stuff we got), with an in depth combat system to capture the fluidity and brutality of the martial arts depicted! Lots of levels, storylines, plots, unlockable characters, costumes, including a 'main campain' where you fight Ozy at the end and can unlock him!

    Could be awesome.

  • @Owdene i agree and thank you for not being one of those people thats always asking for a thumbs up

  • I wouldn't be mad if The Watchmen did a prequel to this film detailing how they fought crime earlier in thier careers and showed the villians at work. Especially the first fight between The Comedian and Ozymandias.

  • @GRUSTLER YES. good idea. But alan moore made people assume that there were a lot of issues before watchmen, although he just 'made it up'. That was what he wanted

  • I'll share this on Facebook.

  • @pyrosplodeyflames awesome !!

  • although watchmen wasint very good as a movie, this scene was awsome.

  • at 42 seconds look. there are 2 people..wtf?

  • @ultimatepedrodude330 That's a statue.

  • If only the rest of the film lived up to its promising beginning

  • it actually doesn't hurt to punch a hole in the wall because of the adrenaline, but it does hurt when you realize that you have dislocated all the knuckles in your hand

  • they considered The Watchmen impossible to make a movie out of... BUT! they did an unbelievable job!

  • the way ozymandias fights in this scene, he looks animated

  • This movie is awesome.

  • brutal

  • In the book, The Comedian knew at his age against Ozzy this time around; he wouldent make it. So before this happend he was writing a letter to his daughter Laurie, telling her that he loved her and her mother and that he's not sure what her mother may have said about him, but that he...then it's cut off, he's taking a break from writing and bam! Ozzy comes in. They cut the letter out of the movie...kinda leaving him looking like a twisted good-guy, where you don't really get to see the good man

  • @Nanomaru when in the book is that letter?

  • My favorite movie of all time!!!! One of my favorite fight scenes. Love movies that actually make you think.

  • I hate the fact that it's outrageously apparent that Ozymandias is just toying with the Comedian. You can clearly see that even the Comedian knows it throughout this whole fight.

  • Actually, good question: Was that Ozzy that defeated The Comedian? I couldn't imagine he'd trust anyone else to do the job, considering that The Comedian was a force to be reckoned with, 72 years old or not. Hell, he could probably take on Brock Lesnar (lulz,) but you get what I mean- Was the asssassin Ozymandias hisself?

  • @magog1138 Adrian Veidt also known as Ozymandias confesses to Killing the Comedian in the last issue of Watchmen. The Comedian had discovered Ozymandias plot to avert nuclear war between Russia and America by faking an alien attack on New York, thus creating a common enemy and uniting the two nations. Ozymandias murders him to make sure his plot never becomes public.

  • @magog1138 and theres also a flashback moment in the film, as hes explaining his plot to night owl and rorschact at the end of the film...we see his face as he holds the comedian over his head before throwing him out the window...

  • @magog1138 yeah dude, they showed him in the suit at the climax of the movie and in the comic. also you can tell by the fighting style the assassin uses to kill him. calculated Math-Fu and shit. lol

  • can somebody tell me if ozymandia is supposed to be like a super human or something cause annihilating the comedia is no joke..

  • @GordonDog17 In the graphic novel he's just exceptionally fit. Ozzy is not a super-hero, he's just at the top of the evolutionary scale in terms of intelligence and physical prowess- He is an analogy for that whole "Aryan Superior Race" model, hence his predilection for world domination. He is the most deceptive and perhaps vicious of all evil because he truly believes he can "save" humanity by enslaving it. Evil can guise itself in benevolence as well.

  • @magog1138 Ozymandias is gay so I don't think he fits the Aryan model. Maybe the Aryans in prison, but for the most part no.

  • @GordonDog17 in the book, Ozymandias says that he and the comedian had fought before with the comedian actually beating him the first time around. Ozymandais also says that during the previous fight he studied the Comedian learning his strengths and weakness so that next time them faught Ozymandias had the upperhand

finally, Ozymandais is like a genius. He knows what to do.

  • @ockap00 Well they did say in the movie(not sure about book) that his company did genetic experiments, they weren't too specific. Being a genius doesn't give you the ability to catch bullets or butcher knives.

  • @siriusblack12757 ozy justs has good reflexes

  • @ockap00 ya also the comedian is 67 year old when ozy beats him up

  • @ockap00

also, the comedian has gotten old. he is not in his prime anymore. at the top of his game blake was a beast in combat, and veidt probably couldnt have beaten him in a second round

  • @ockap00 not "like a genius" friend, "the smartest man on earth" they call him, so yeah, he was super fast, super strong, good looking, a billionaire, a scientist and the smartest man on the planet, then again he was kinda nuts...

  • @GordonDog17 ozzy is suppose to be the smartest man in the world so he knows how velocity patterns works so he uses it in his fighting skills ...

  • Its a joke, its all a joke. life is nothing but a joke, you know like telling a joke and its done....forever

  • so if you play unforgettable at night, a ninja will break into your house, and kick your ass?

  • Ok guys..play Mad world by Gary jules at :37 but put this vids volume a little lower than half. goes pefectly with this scene

  • why did he say oh forgive me at 2:20?

  • glad that asshole got killed lol

  • Anyone other than the killer who broke in would have made a terrible mistake attacking that man.

  • It's the music that made this scene so great.

  • pussy...

  • only semi good part of the movie...the rest sucked..i was bored outta my mind..thank god i only rented it

  • why is he called the comedian????

  • @Fuzzyassasin99 because he thinks killing people is funny.

  • @Fuzzyassasin99 because life is a joke and hes the comedian

  • had the possibility to be better then dark knight

  • unforgettable was the best choice for this scene

  • this scene is so badass. why did the movie have to suck.

  • I love how it becomes increasingly apparent how good HE is, even though he's losing, which only serves to show how good Ozymandias is. Well choreographed.

  • Adrian and Manhatten are assholes killing the two best characters Rorschach and Comedian

  • WARNING!!! If you are watching this Ozymandias will break down your door and beat you to death.

  • LOL adrian owns

  • which song is playing in the 1:06 min. answer please

  • @CH5F Unforgettable by Nat King Cole

  • @ockap00 thanks

  • my all time favorite movie scene

  • At 1:30 I get the same..."GAAH!" feeling everytime. I WANNA DIE LIKE THAT!!!

  • he went out fighting, just the way the comedian wanted it. R.I.P.

  • To those who complain about the movie not being true to moore´s vision...this is to me,THE BEST SCENE in this moviie and it happens to be a scene that´s not even in the GN! Snyder understands that for a murderplot to work, you might wanna give the victim a face and show the brutality of the murder...I always thought Moore failed to get my attention wiith the comedian murder.Snyder succeeds...Here,he strays froom Moore´s vision and creates something personal and poetic..

  • I didnt give a damn about comediean, he realized he was a monster too late, he deserved to die, but nice fight

  • poetic, love it

  • ??? r u serious?? this movie was almost identical to the novel. the only thing changed was the ending and ozy's fight the delivery guy

  • @punishedsoul not really it misses out all of the graphic pirate novel doesnt include the news agent barely at all includes no background into hollis masons book and tbh its too big to make a movie they picked the core parts and sticked to them

  • who is singing this/what song?

  • amazing scene

  • Why does he say "Mother forgive me?"

  • @talacassidyayana i think he says that because all of things he's done wrong. Now that he knows hes gonna day he wants to say sorry to his mom for his wrong doings. I think, i mean that's my best guess.

  • that was ozymandias right?

  • damn this has to be the most stylish and epic fight scene ever... this has a MGS sense to it....

  • Very nice intro only to be spoiled by the 300 reference placed in :( still this is a fantasic fight scene

  • <-< that guy can take a lick i would of been dead the frist few hits XD

  • ITS INCREADIBLE!!!

  • ROFL

anyone notice his room number is 300?

  • wow ur smart

  • @Foobyking9000 its 3001 but the cup covers the 1 :)

  • This is how I imagine how those Israeli agents killed that HAMAS guy.

  • I MOS DEF AGREE WITH YOU THERE!

  • I MOS DEF AGREE WITH YOU THERE

  • @ZiggyTheBearJew what does mos def have to do with anything?

  • @porkdemon I have a problem spelling definitely so instead I just type mos def, for most definitely

  • @porkdemon Its how I spell 'most definitely'

  • I say the coolest part of the movie is at 1:55

  • @TheWakachow yes:)cool

  • Beautiful and UNFORGETTABLE scene.

  • @Reqrezentin

I see what you did there

  • @Shadowhog

    lol

  • This scene never gets old

  • This is a good scene but the overall movie was not a succes. Is this song in the original comic book? The juxtaposition of this great song and the death of the Comedian is brilliant. Anyhow, I have some issues with the movie. I don´t think it was loyal towards Alan Moore´s vision and imagination.

  • Not exactly viral just yet!

  • WTF are you blabbering about... this is the most wicked imba fighting scene evah.

You should do some good with your writting skills on imdb instead.
