  • Absolutely awesome presentation.

  • Thank you ... Dr DaLiu from 1970s for 3 years introduced me to this style in his apartment in NYCity ... It is refreshing to see your presentation ...

  • very nice!!! I study Chen Style Tai Chi Xin Jia or New Frame but this will definitely help me out!!! Awesome vid!!!

  • very informative video of taichi & chen^^ I've been skipping taichi lessons lately, I must practice again^^

  • good

  • aikido n taichi ve lots of similiarity.

  • steve seagal practices aikido. He may have done some tai chi tho.

  • correct he holds a 7th degree black belt in Aikido. But the two arts are similar in principle, using soft to fight hard. Anyone seen his new show on A&E? Who knew hes been a cop for 20 years LOL.

  • i dont know but what i do know is that he did akido and he's like a 6 th dan master

  • For anyone interested i'll be presenting for the 2nd time since DC hosted by Stephan Berwick A special seminar in march 2010. The water principal will focus on explosive fajing and its usage via the silk reeling sequences presened in DVD 3 of this series.

  • I love steven seagal and I love chen style tai chi. So I hope you are right.

  • Awesome vid!

  • (when i saying tuishow i mean all form of it, including sanshou)

  • imho taolu borns(?beginning) from tuishow. Jose Figueroa doing very well external form of classic taichi styles. Doing it good and fluidly(?) and beautiful -- is not enought!

  • Excellent explanation of Tai Chi steps. So many people who start need an explanation of what to expect. It is explained very well here.

  • Bit of a wudang flavor but very smooth, nice

  • Omg, I've never seen such a great performance by westerners, outstanding!

  • Nice Video

  • Very nice demo. Thanks

  • Sifu Figueroa,

  • I gave up my study of taichi because of a seemingly lax approach of our teacher and maybe even incompetence. I always wondered when the man (or a woman:) can take up teaching chen taichi, is there some formal initiation? I mean the form is pretty cool, but somewhat not ripe. The left shoulder sometimes gets out of place. But hey, I would love to reach this level.

  • awesome cool :)

  • Jose, looking better than ever! You are the man! Be well, and continue to achieve the Supreme Ultimate.

  • Sifu Figueroa - we know each other casually from NYC. I studied Okinawan martial arts. We often ran into each other in the Bx. Good to see you have achieved expertise in your art. I applaud your success.

  • No, it does not

  • Looks like the best Taiji basic training DVD out there. Very nice!
