try not wrappin your thumbs around the steering wheel if you were to get loose or some on pushes you into a wall you can break your thumbs but over all good video and nice car
i know ben stepehns (not personally) but i know his opperation is 22nd to none im sure he has gloves. for christ sake he has ben featured in Dick Berggrin's speedway illustrated
That was a one-time situation. Ben now uses all the latest safety equipment and was one of the first to use a full-containment Butlerbuilt seat, HANS device, fire suppression system and the best gloves money can buy.
Your hands tend to shrivel when they are on fire - you might be able to grab your tear offs better with no gloves, but you won't be able to undo the latch on your harness in a fire because YOUR HANDS SHRIVEL UP like a monkeys when they're on fire - ESPECIALLY methanol fires.
I'm not bagging you, but you should really reconsider your safety gear, mate - hate to see you get hurt!
Why no window net or gloves. Don't believe in safety? How many times your thumbs bin busted? Good run, looks like a great track. Wish we have one in denver, co.
man i wish the same division in Australia ran the chev engine i'd be racing them now but typical of australia we go and put the holden (GMH) 253 in them and its a motor that couldn't pull the skin of custard and they are slow and boring
Is that a 3/8 mile? It looks a little short for a 1/2. I don't want to nag, but put some gloves on. They don't make you lose any feel for the wheel, and you'll reduce the chance of getting burned if you have a fire. You'll get used to them quick.
congrads! hope i have that half that luck this year. No me and my buddy drove to performance bodies, and harris auto racing this weekend to get partsin a god dam blizzard. our cars are almost done. We got to get cracking if we want to race the openner in boone. U ever race the super nationals i know its IMCA and all?
have u raced the shaw yet? i have heard alot of mixed review on the shaw cars the say the flex out and dont hold there numbers long also bend very easy. i have heard better thing from the taylor shaws
Ours is a Taylor/Shaw we got from Wendall Wallace. It's a straight 4-bar car and works great. We just won a $3,500 to win in Milton, FL at the beginning of the '07 season.
we have bigger versions of these in new zealand called super saloons
