  • It's not Mimosa Pudica, but Mimosa Pigra.

  • Are you sure this is Mimosa pudica, and not another species? it seems to have a lot of leaves on one stem, unlike the typical set of 4 that is on Mimosa pudica.

  • I use TickleMe Plants with my children at school. No other growing experience excites them more about plants, nature and gardening. If you haven't had the TickleMe Plant experience...your gardening adventures are not complete. I have seen them attract some southern species of butterfly as well. Just go to the famous Highlights com website and search TickleMe Plants for the complete greenhouse kit!

  • you should maybe call it by its scientific name, if your teaching children about it.... at least say, "mimosa pudica, the TickleMe plant just like Tickle ME Elmo tm.

  • hahahah...I used to have these plants in my backyard

  • It's a bit hard to tell -- does it actually recoil when you touch it?

  • Yes it does - I think to protect itself from animals or heavy tropical rain drops not sure why this plant evolved this mechanism but it's fun to touch them!

  • MARIJUANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----DEA
