i have the Rivarossi O gauge Ilinois central 382 or the Casey Jones locomotive. It does not have a motor. i thinking about finding a motor and make it battery operated so it can run on my layout.
Boogerkitty123 thanks, I bought the kit together. I just bought another kit that I'm going to get a powering kit for and put that one together. Thanks for looking!!
tpvalley This is "Scale" 2 rail "O" scale. The track is 1 1/4 inches wide or 32mm wide. This was a kit buy Rivarossi the engine os 9 1/2 inches long and the tender is about 6 1/2 inches long.
As I understand there was driveshafts running back to the tender and powered the truch and they used the side rod to connect the 2 wheels all to help the engine pull. this would be on the real Engine.
that truck on the front of the tender is called a franklin booster :) i have 2 of these O 2 rail kit minus the powering kits and i have 4+ franklin boosters on my HO stock
WOW, Super Nice! I have one of these kits, I'm trying to locate the motorizing kit to make mine go before I begin construction - was the kit put together by you?
1:07-1:14 sounded realistic

Good Video. I have a live steam version of the IHO 0-8-0 switcher loco. it is gas fired and very powerful. very imposing loco.

Sorry, couldnt quite apreciate the scale, this room must be big!
Were these trains running tenders with pistons / drive wheels in real life then?
080 on engine and 04-6 on tender or something?
