Lot of lower caste Hindus are barred too from many temples- when someone knows they are low caste. Commoner from even upper castes have difficulty with Darshan too because too many gates and guards and greedy pundits. If you offer enough money, they make special arrangements for commoners to have Darshan . all big Bollywood actors have it easy.Now, you can at least see Lords picture on internet even if they do not allow you to enter the Temple.

my suggesition to fransis in india a vry famous devotee was soor das he was blind asked why u used to go temple as u r a blind he anserd so wht if i cant see he has broad eyes he can see me . so its all right see lord by ur heart,s eyes

its very very sad that non-Indian Hindus are not allowed into the Temple.

In fact there are many Muslims and Xtuians who are strong devotees of the Lord.

this narrow mindedness of the Pandas should end.

The Lord is everywhere. If some ignorant people hinders a true believer's entry into the temple, the Lord comes to him instead of staying in the temple. I do not believe the Lord is with the people who guard his temple from his followers. he is with those who love him irrespective of whether they can enter the temple or not. The people who control the temple has forgotten where their power comes from. So the victory will be of the lovers of Krishna against the haters who bar them.

The followers of Srila Prabhupada are Hindus. And not letting them in the temple is definitely a very bad thing. Whether they are white, brown or black all Hindus must be allowed to enter all temples. I hope in the very near future this will change. In my earlier comments I was talking about non-Hindus and why they are not let in. I didn't mean to include any Hindu in that comment.

finally koyel said what do we want, the pandas to serve us? well devotees of the Lord DO serve each other. Only a neophyte devotee sees the Lord as living in the temple or in the form of the Deity but not in the hearts of all living entities and especially the devotees! Only an outcaste says one cannot worship the Lord in the temple unless he is "born" in an ugly material body of a certain race. This IS racism. We are not these bodies so our races don't matter to the Supreme Godhead!

Why do you say non-hindus do not believe in Lord Jagannatha when all Vaishnavas do?! Lord Jagannatha is Vishnu, and Vaishnavas are included among Hindus. Who are you to say that you have to be born in a certain country to be able to believe in anything they want? This is America not Nazi Germany koyel.

How would they feel if they were told to get out of town because they were dirty little smelly hindu basterds?

firstly, non-Hindus are NOT told to leave the town ... they can stay in Puri as long as they want... secondly, they are barred from entering the temple NOT because they are 'smelly bastards', but simply because they are non-believers... and lastly, Hindus do NOT feel bad at all if they can't enter a particular non-Hindu place of worship .. that's fine ... they have enough of their own...
