@zZLUKO13Zz It's called marketing. Fame doesn't go hand in hand with merit. Slash is a good player, but has not achieved the level of skill of this man. He plays with a hairband because he can, he is a clean player with or without it. Ask around see how many non-guitarist know who Guthrie Govan or Tosin Abasi are. They won't know who the hell they are because they aren't marketed like the "great" Slash is. Those two are miles better then Slash. "But Slash plays with soul!" Guthrie dominates him.

@melonheed3 Agreed. It may sound like a mess w/o the dampener. If he was legit he wouldn't need the dampener. Just look at michael romeo of symphony x, he taps like a mofo across all strings but he muffles properly w/ his hands so there's no string noise.

I played on andys ESP in my lesson a while ago, his LP style is suprisingly difficult to play, relatively high action, heavy guage strings, but sounds amazing, Made my M-II sound pretty weak to be honest, even its much easier to play.

@metallica5252 I own a 07 C1 Blackjack Schecter and an early 2011 LTD H351NT. While they look the same and sound killer, they are nothing alike. The Schecter body is wider and little longer. The C1 neckshape is more of a C shape being wider and thinner and the LTD is more of a thinner U shape. Both of them are Mahogany bodies with maple tops, maple necks with rosewood boards. The schecter is about 1 pound heavier. They play completely different as well but are both comfortable.

@metallica5252 It depends on your left hand. If you play with your thumb over the neck then I would say the ESP. If you play with your thumb on the back of the neck, probably the Schecter.
