Hi Mate, nice review..I am looking in to buying a .22 and was wondering how would you rate the CZ 452 or 455 build quality compared to say a Weihrauch HW 66 or an Anschutz 1417? I know that the German rifles are more expensive to buy, don`t know whether to buy a CZ and save some bucks or not.Cheers.
Good review. My singular complaint is that CZ is taking a step backwards with regards to the functionality of the rear sight on the 455 vs. the 452. The ladder elevation of my Lux works superbly giving me the ability to shoot out to 200 meters. Your video gave me the best view I have had yet of the 455 rear sight. Great review.
Nice review, thanks. What type of effective shooting range does the 455 in .22LR offer? I live in America and have access to less costly .22 rifles and handguns. I'm trying to figure out if the price of the 452 which is much higher than other 22 cal firearms is worth it.
@freeheretic111 Well mate like the famous saying goes "You get what you pay for". There are some other great cheaper options (Savage rimfires for instance) But I can't go past the CZ rimfires they are just a great rifle.
Yes I have one very big question. Now I'm planing on getting this rifle but not in 22L but in 22Mag and was wondering if you know if I can change the Barrel to a 22L caliber and also change it without a change on the bolt too. This is very most likely the rifle that I will use period for competitive target shooting and hunting.
I bought this a few weeks ago and today was the first time I was able to shoot it. I did the bore sighting at home, so when I got to the range it only took me 9 shots to finish the zero. My 14 year old daughter and I were putting 12 and 15 round shot groups the size of a nicle at 25 yards. Next time we will shoot 50 and 100 yards to see if there's any drop off. A very fun little rifle.
i have been trying to find the 455 for a decent price but not many around australia..cheapest i seen was $766 from a queensland shop, any advice where i can find it for less?
@mangoz69a CZ was known as Brno (not Bruno as people commonly spell it) for many years. It wasn't until the 90's when CZ became the common name. That said Ceska Zbrojovka was always the manufacturer and Brno was the town where the factory was. I don't recall why the rifles were stamped with Brno back in the day but there is a story behind that.
I'm looking to get this rifle for small game as an introduction to hunting, but I can help to notice the second rabbit went to check out his downed companion...damn.
LOL! The bunny shooting was cruel. He first shoots one and then the other one goes to check out what happened to his buddy and PLOP...he's out cold! HAHAHAHA!
Love to get one with a threaded barrel but I don't think those are being imported into the US. I guess I'll have to send the barrel off to a gunsmith to get threads cut. Not a big problem though.
Hey Keith, great review of a great rifle. Would be nice if you showed us the barrel change as well, but I really liked this review anyway. Relaxing and learning to watch! Will be subscribing for future videos!

@Wasps9 I guess I never considered that mate, I shoot all of my rifles with scopes attached so I haven't ever worried about the open sights.

I'm surprised your viewer base is so small. In my opinion your videos are just as good as the top gun reviewers on YouTube. Keep it up.
