  • Моя мать работала над аккумуляторными батареями для «Бурана». УЭХК, Новоуральск (Свердловск-44).

Конечно, она сначала не знала для чего эти батареи будут нужны. ))

  • Спасибо за историческое видео.

  • great engineering, but geez i guess they could've asked nasa to buy a shuttle if they were gonna go the same exact design route.

  • @Dizzle242 These two shuttles are very different. First of all Buran is full automated. In addition, Byran-Energia have to launch from more higher latitude, then cape Canaveral.

  • Any particular reason for, being the first launch, they launched at night and with low cloud ceiling?

  • @rivendell9999 Almost all Russian rockets are launching at night (for example Soyuz Expeditions to MKS: 28, 27, 26, 25, 24 and many others). It's more convenient time due to different causes (landing at light part of a day is one of the reasons) Low cloud ceiling is not any hindrance for this system.
