.22's are lethal. The people down there talking about deer getting away after getting shot with a .22 apparently don't live in Hickville like I do. I know people who have hit deer with 12 gauge slugs and they get still away. It's all about the shooter, not the cartridge. Provided the appropriate range is taken into consideration for the given round, of course
u guys do realize in a world of zombies theres no Gun law magazine limits n .22 they do make 150 mags n if you have a fast trigger finger or ur good at bump firing it'll have a really good burst rate. ppl hunt with .22's up to 200 yards killing coyotes.
theres even a video on youtube of someone recording the History channeling showing a .22 shooting a skull n it penetrated both sides.

Now you are going to have people tell you different. This is just how I feel about them. .22LR is not a combat round. 5.56x45 Is going to be your best bet for a low recoil accurate rifle to pop some zombie skulls with. Remember you won't just be fighting zombies you'll be fighting gangs of humans who are after your resources.
@Arkanix420 well i cant say i have shot a zombie or a person in the skull :P i do know that .22lr are a very good choice, they are know for piercing one side of the skull, then not having the force to pierce the back which causes it to ricochet inside the skull, which is devastating, thats why the Israeli military "assassins" for lack of a better word, use the 22lr. just my 2 cents.

But the .22lr is not the best thing to pierce a skull. lead generally will splatter when it hits a hard surface since it is so soft and especially when it is traveling that fast. Poachers use them to take deer but lots of deer get away after being hit by .22lr. Most of those poachers use it because it is quieter and the neighbors will think less about it than a .30 same reason "hitmen" use it
@Persian1609 I don't want to be that close to a zombie. If I do have to get that close to a zombie, I'd rather be using something that will impart more damage and more force than a .22lr. I'd much rather use a pistol caliber with an expanding bullet instead of having to rely on several rounds of .22lr to do the same job.

Hitting the head wont dtop the Zombies on "The Walking Dead", you need to destroy the brain stem at the base of old brain box. The Zombies are going to soak up alot of .22 rounds and then get pissed off.

i would defanitely buy a weapon with a higher caliber ~9mm min.~ most likely a .40 or a .45, and probably a glock, because they are reliable, accurate, light, nice sights, and hold a good amount of ammo in the clip
Is there anyway that the blood could be real, like the color Red, also how many rounds are the targets allowed to absorb from 5.56 and 9mm until they must be thrown away, thanks
@Covasint20 they say up too 100 rounds of 9mm- i believe they are only avaible with the pink- i make my own for about 10 bucks a pop that, blood wise, are much more realistic, but target wise, not so much
