  • Parkour and FreeRunning are 2 different sports

Parkour is a method of training to overcome obstacles

FreeRunning is a sport in which you do Spins and Flips and includes some Parkour movement; but FreeRunning is not Parkour and Parkour is not FreeRunning

  • Can you read.

  • out there somewhere in the universe is a particularly skilled group of ninjas. This is their video.

  • parkour and free running aren't the same thing

  • freerunning is the same as parkour. freerunning is cool and parkour is jumping from buildings and doing flips. Nobody understands. i like those guys. They jump of high things

  • What?!?!

Parkour is jumping from buildings and doing flips?!?!?!

    You don't know parkour...hear me!!!

  • This is a great video. Good music, good quality, and obviously great traceurs. They always amaze me with their creativity and flow.

  • bravo!!

  • freerunning is not the same as parkour..

  • Exactly!!!

Man, annoy's me when people say it is, then they argue with you that it's the same...

Glad someone else knows it isnt haha

  • well... free running was originally a term used for parkour, for the english speaking population to use. but now it has evolved so that any kind of movements that invole spins, flips or other tricky things are classed as free running, and the more simplistic, more efficient moves are classed as parkour... yo

  • Good zone for training....good song for video(pendulum 4ever!!)....Go,Yamakasi,Go!! :)

  • love it!

  • the film didn't keep up with the paste of the music, some nice moments though

  • LE PARKOUR IS NO FREERUNNING there is a diferents between those ööÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ

  • what is the song please?

  • Hold your color by pendulum

  • FEARLESS!! They all seam to be bouncy and rubbery. What a awsome way to condition the body.

  • This is one of best Parkour clips i saw. And btw i don't know why 98% of people say "this is not Parkour" on 100% clips..Doesn't those guys have something smarter to post instead of trying to be clever?

  • This video is seriously badass, topped of by the pendulum track it just can't be beat.

  • yeah, its pretty obvious

  • A great evidence that we were monkeys before :)

  • Lol parkour is not the same as freerunning, and yiour video is about freerunners, not traceurs(people who practise parkour)

  • ahh - thanks for the clarification!! I thought they were the same thing!! Eep! :)

    What's the difference?

  • @Dannidoodle

parkour=> get from a to b in the fastest way possible while moving through the city environment and keeping the flow.

Freerunning=> same like parkour, but with flips and tricks, so actually more free, but as much fun as with parkour plus with freerun it's mostly ( and i don't mean to affend any freerunners since i'm a traceur) showing off, but you also have fun.

    i hope that clears it?

  • no martial arts lol its parkour :P the art of movment or in french l'art du deplacment :P i have been doing it 4month but no flips coz i do pakour not free runnin:P

  • Thanks for the upload:-) I love Yamakasi

  • They're mostly gymnasts, check out the video called Urban Ninja. There're a lot of impressive parkour videos around here...

  • wow, isnt it incredible what the human body can achieve. im only assuming that these particular individuals are martial artists tho. :)

  • I don't think they're martial artists - parkour is an urban sport, a bit like skateboarding. These guys run youth projects to teach people how to do it in Paris. x

  • wow, interesting. i actually had never heard of this before. i wonder if it is a european thing right now or if i'm simply out of the loop. :)

  • I know that people in the states are into it too... seems to have originated in Paris, but it's popular all over the cities of Europe.

I've looked at some Brit Parkour clips and they have a totally different style to the French - not as stylised and exact. hehe - things don't change much then (thinking of 17th century baudy England and floral France hehe).

  • haha i totally got your reference to the 'things dont change much' even without the explanation. something about being doomed to repeat history... haha.

do you know how parkour is pronounced? is it like park-our or like parker? :)

  • it's pronounced - par-kor
