I have a theori that just might be true.

We all know what happened to poor old Sargeras. He was locked under the sea by Aegwynn. But later, Gul'dan came and wanted to steal his powers. He died before he could do that. And his skull was filled with demonic power, which Ner'zhul used to his portals and the Legion used to corrupt the forest. Illidan absorbed all the power and became a demon. But he died.

What if Sargeras spirit was in the skull, and Illidan is the new host of him.

@playedspider2 well, yes, Illidan was killed, but since Sargeras has the power to divived his soul into different bodies (Voldemort ripp-of) I really think he must have put a great part of "his other soul" inside Illidan. He needed a host, and when Illidan died, he can take controll of the body, until Sargeras unites himself with his real body.

Besides, Blizzard loves to give hints. Before Black Temple raid, they said about killing Illidan: He does not really dies.

@movienaut acturally now that you think about it, sargeras could have a link with nerzhul, my theory is that sargeras took control of nerzhul and eventurally broke the pact between nerzhul and kil'jaeden and took control of the scourge. i mean, nerzhul couldn't break the pact by himself could he? he was a tortured soul and nothing more, only something with mighty power could, sargeras has that power, it's kinda like what he did with medivh.

killing a dreadlord is a bad thing to do, Sargeras was corrupted by killing dreadlords and Arthas was on the limit though when he killed Mal'ganis, but when he did he crossed the line and became the first of the lich king's death knights.

When you've built up some experience and confidence in reading to us - then tell them from memory. I'm sure you don't talk this hesitantly to your friends and family haha.
