This movie was made in my hometown of St. Cloud, Minnesota. I was a jr/sr that year, and many of my friends were 'extras' in that movie. I've been to "Rock Around The Clock"... and Bobby Vee is a native of a neighboring city. I know where the Cathedral School is and this movie is simply nostalgic for me. If this movie is still available, I would love to purchase it!

Buzzy Cripe a long time local rodder and stock car racer still owns the wrecked blue 57 Chevy + NOT for sale. He also built the HUGE Coburns SBC powered grocery cart.

It was filmed all over St Cloud and several scenes were done near the railroad tracks just east (towards downtown) of the old great northern bar and hotel.

The climax wreck was at Apollo, I was there and hauled the cars away afterwords. I graduated from Apllo in 1974 a couple years after Steven Summers.

ha...this brings back memories. This was filmed in St. Cloud, MN while I was going to college up there. One of my roommates helped with this movie as an intern and one night he invited a bunch of the film crew over, including Billy Morrissette and some director guy, to help drain our beer meister. ha. I never did get around to see the movie but I heard from several people that it actually turned out pretty good.

Apollo HS St Cloud Mn. was where the wreck scene and jump took place (Apollo's football feild) I went to school w one of the guys who directed/produced it + I worked on the movie. Also a freind Buzzy Cripe built the 2 57's one of which was wrecked.That car survives today in a locked compound just the way I hauled it after the wreck scene,as do the other two in private owners hands.
