@John234pwns ...to be honest, i destroyed 2 to get 1 working :) not rocket scientist. I opend it, polished the inside with a dremel, took away the molding marks and sprayed teflon in it. Its also realates to the pistols, i have 4 1911´s here and the mag is working in 2 of them. The other 2 wont accept it at all.
@John234pwns ....wait a second. I thought you were talking about the DRUM MAGS from pro-mag. These ones needed the work i descriped below. The magazines in the video are working fine out of the box. I did not had a issue with them.
@chieffy35 Apparently it is. There's a blog called Coyote School, based in Alberta, and he did a review on this stock. Might want to contact him to get the name of the Canadian importer.
Is there carbine conversion or a sniper rifle conversion for Derringer?
I want to make my Derringer big! From a small pocket pistol to a cannon while retaining the same firing power. I don't mind paying 10 times of the Derringer more for this genius kit.
I know, lets make a device that can be added to a sidearm to make it weigh 10x more, have it be larger and less compact, and double or triple to cost of said sidearm...
Who the hell thinks of this? This is supid, use a pistol as a pistol. If you want a carbine, buy a carbine. They make AR15s in 9mm AND 45 ACP.
@smirnoff225 How about putting in a 16'' barrel for a 1911, will that require any gunsmithing/fitting? I'm really interested in purchasing either this unit or the mech tech ccu and want to find out which is better.
If it meant to be fired from the shoulder and a sixteen inch barrel make it a carbine these are federal laws so if you want to get this you'll have to pay a 200 tax fee for a short barreled rifle, but the good news if you don't want to worry about all those ATF forms and what no just get a 16 inch barrel fir a 1911 yes they do have them. You might want to check with your local laws they might add some restrictions to carbine clasification(life foregrips)
because an mp5 is a total different gun this is a conversion kit and its a 45 caliber or if your 1911 can change to a 22 platform even better you can use your 1911 as a pistol and a carbine also it just preference and if the person likes it or not
With the charging-handle on the side. It chatches the slide on the front. There are pictures on the hera-homepage from the other side of the stock if you might want to take a look.
This is illegal in the US but just the pistol, which is more concealable, is legal. More examples of stupid, nonsensical American gun laws which should be repealed!
In the US you can easily purchase a .45 16" barrel for less than 70$. That makes it absolutely legal. As a example there is a OD stock with a long barrel on the HERA site. There is also a longer front tube available to cover this barrel. This is one possibility, the other one is to register it as a SBR.
Will it fit a Kimber 45ACP?Inbox me plz....

Spend MORE on an already expensive gun? No thanks. I'll stick with purpose built carbines.

You running ProMag 14 rounders? Don't those have some reliability issues?
John234pwns 1 year ago
@John234pwns ....yes, but i still like the shape :) With a bit of milling work and a truck load of oil i got it working.
smirnoff225 1 year ago
@smirnoff225 Ah. Could you ever put up a how-to on that? I think there's a lot of interest out there for getting them reliable.

If you have a 16 inch barrel would you need to go through anything putting this on it like stamps or taxes?

As long as you install it with the 16 inch barrel, no. Then its not an SBR.

Depends on your local laws.
