I actually preferred the 350z styling. Looked my unique to me. This is starting to merge with a number of other sports cars. Starting to look a little bit porschesque. One of the cheapest cars I have owned for 15 years but one of the only ones I didnt get bored with in 6 months. I am sure the 370 would have the same effect. I am sort of fixated on the GT-R at the moment but living in London (when at home in the uk) I sometimes wonder why I have a car at all.
@Makadonska27 My 350z that I bought brand new in 2004 has been one of the most expensive cars I have owned. Pads and rotors don't last more then 15 thousand miles. I had to replace all the power switches for everything windows and seats. Heated seats never worked for crap. Stereo is blown out (I tried to get Nissan to fix that but they said it still works so they wouldn't replace the speakers). Cig lighter never worked (lasted about 3 months after purchase) then they refused to change the fuses
@DorkVader26 Must admit the replacement parts are pretty steep. I had a stone damage the front window and was charged 1300 GBP to replace it by Autoglass but in terms of reliability I had no probs at all.
@Makadonska27 How many miles did you put on it? Once I hit 50 or 60 thousand miles things really started to go wrong quick. The head light replacements cost me $1500 on their own. It's a fun car but the reliability isn't that great and from what I have heard that's fairly true statement but that most people end up wrecking the car before the 50k mile marker (when problems start). If I had to guess I've spent 7500-9500 over 6 years of ownership that doesn't include current repairs needed.
@Makadonska27 I called Nissan Directly and the representative I spoke with said I had an unusually high amount of repairs but that they would not repair it or lemon it. I will give Nissan this the cost of owning it wouldn't have been as bad but the dealership refused to do warranty work. Most cars have cheap stock pads unless they are some decent ceramics. On a track its best to change them out. Not sure how good these are compared to the ones on the Nismo vs however race pads would be the way to go.
@IXGQ4LifeXI ,, Yes, I've heard of it... It was the Nismo Z that had the sudden brake fade and they crashed the car. Problems with engine overheat too when tracked, which puts it on the limp mode.

and o the first Generation Audi TT, it has a almost identical Roof line, before you say " you chat shit take a look at both cars side by side, you will see what i mean..

i don't know if you're talking about the first generation TT (8N) or the second (8J), but the roof lines are similiar. i know the roofline on the 370Z is a nod to the Nissan GT-R and if you look are identical. probably coincidence with the TT. however, i did always think the first gen TT and the 350Z had near identical rooflines...and the TT came first
no its different, may look the same but if u do some research about the Z dated back in 70's or 80's it was the datsun 280z (old days) and the 350z and 370z's (present day) could be an accident audi TT look alike.!

All they do is act like regular drivers. They stomp the gas instead of launching the car. In some way, it is nice way to know you are guaranteed a time like that if you were to stomp the gas.

For a while(years back) every 350Z with a turbo was stuck in the 13's... I have absolutely no clue why, but there was more than one.
It seems like you need to have about 500lbs of tq to really compete on the streets around here, and that will just make it entertaining, not a sure win. I like to daydream about getting one and modding it, but even the heavily modded 350Z's that I've seen end up being kinda sluggish. If the engine is rebuilt and a turbo is stuck on it, I want to be able to get it out of the high 12's.

nobody should put any kind of forced induction on that engine stock and hope for it to hold together... but thats not a slam, it just wasn't meant for that.
For a while(years back) every 350Z with a turbo was stuck in the 13's... I have absolutely no clue why, but there was more than one.

I like the looks... and the performance is ok.
It seems like you need to have about 500lbs of tq to really compete on the streets around here, and that will just make it entertaining, not a sure win. I like to daydream about getting one and modding it, but even the heavily modded 350Z's that I've seen end up being kinda sluggish. If the engine is rebuilt and a turbo is stuck on it, I want to be able to get it out of the high 12's.

The 350 was a great car. The 370 is just a step ahead. Even the 350 had no problem dispatching of the S2000, even on a track.

the R32 is out of date and cant compete also its a 3.7L V 6 Assuming you used the proper terminology that an I is an Inline. the 370Z is a car that still offers sports car handling and power, the new GT-Rs i think have went down hill as well, the 32 was a beast but theres newer technology and better designs now.(in my opinion) .

horsepower doesnt mean much if the car is heavy. its all about the power to weight ratio. 370Z has 332hp and SRT8 has 425hp, but they runs almost the same 0-60, 1/4mile because the 370Z is much lighter. Look at a car like Lotus Elise, only has 190hp and wieghs less than 2000lb and it can beat both of these cars. so dont waste your time talking about how much HP you got. its about power to weight ratio.
