My mom always sung this song to me and as I got older and she play it, it still makes me emotional to this day. I think it really drove me home on dragrace and poor Yara just had a break down....This is a wonderful song and I just love to hear mom sing it and I thank her for introducing me to this song growing up. My mom is a big fan of Patti, Gladys, Anita, and all those greats. Now when I here it or my mom is singing it, not only do I think about my mom but Yara during her lip sync as well.

Yara vs Alexis Mattaeo. Two Drag Sisters in The Name Of Love. Yara had to talk Alexis out from leaving the show. Then they have to lyp sing for thier lives to this song. What an emotional moment. I was in tears. The judges were in tears. Yara breaks down and all you can do is break down with her. Alexis tore it up, but tried to be there for her sister Yara. Alexis breaks down in the end. It ws so emotional. Yara and Alexis You two will always be around in our hearts.

Patti's voice in the background, Yara falling, Ru looking concerned & pissed, LaToya Jackson & The Photogragher crying & MS. ALEXIS MATEO in all her fine elegance & grace- still lip-syncing, but at the same time tending to her drag sister, Yara. Girl, it was a historical TV MOMENT! They have to at least be nominated for a TONY AWARD for that episode alone. It was absolute magic....

Ditto! 4:04 "Said I, Said I, Said I, Said I...!" This goes right to my heart everytime I hear it! The thing about Patti is she is truly the cherry on top EVERYTIME. Her voice is the last voice in both movies PRECIOUS & DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN & possibly countless others.
