Hmmm, mine only needs it on the passenger side so i can do it by holding the flap and leaning the pass seat forward...hey...at least I don't have to get out, somebody else does lol.
I stop my top at half-way and put a beach towel in between the two sides of the plastic (roughly :12 in). I encourage you to do the same; it helps prevent scratches on the back panel.
Ah the old boxster chop, love it, do it on mine everytime... its a bit of a bastard at traffic lights though 12 seconds the manual says... seems like a lifetime at the lights in the rain !
