When you bend a club open you do increase the loft at address. However, when you square the face at impact you have decreased the loft by about .7* for every 1 degree open.
Yes... But, it's VERY difficult, and only the best clubmakers will even attempt it. You'll find almost no one that will do it. Only tour pros and other elite players who are sponsored usually have it done, therefore if the club breaks, the sponsor can replace it free of charge.
most of the pros now a days use the project x 6.0, or 6.5 cuz they're xtra stiff and heavy. KBS shafts are also becoming popular, and along the same lines as project x. Those are the 2 major kinds in use today by pros. If not one of those, a 3rd popular is the dynamic gold x-100, which is a step stiffer than the standard dynamic gold s-300
the most popular shaft on tour is dynamic gold by far for every player that uses a project-x 3-4 players play dynamic gold but thats slowly leveling out cus project-x r a wicked shaft but dynamic gold is just simpley awesome
i love the cooler+-

now how is it possible to open up a club face, while decreasing loft. I thought when you open the face up, it adds loft.
sergiogarciafan567 1 year ago
@sergiogarciafan567 it sounds weird but actually the lower the loft the more open the face

typical TaylorMade propaganda, Goose still plays the SuperQuad and he plays older fairway metals. but yes he is quite funny.

Did he say that delofting opened up the clubface for him? I'm confused if he did. I thought closing delofted and opening added....
hmmm
dazzer24 2 years ago
I Don't hear him say that.
Fressnillo 2 years ago
I don't really get it either, but that's what happens when you open the clubface on the R9.
