once you completely leave your first barrel, you should be picking up your next lead and ideally break it down and switch in between barrels. otherwise your horse will shoulder and cut off your pocket-like this horse did. she had his face and he faught her to cut it off which is why they fell. she just has to get him to move his shoulders off her feet and give to the bit to get a better pocket and lead change
i don't agree with barrel racing.. i rather showjumping.. i know you can get seriously hurt in both, but i just don't like it when i also see little kids at the age of like 5 riding a 16hh horse in barrel racing..
