  • @horsesaremylife2023 I think this is more meant if you are riding on public trails

  • That's why you don't trail ride alone.

  • ussually a horse would defend it's owner they are sssssssooooooo loyal! :)

  • oh as if! that guy wouldn't even know she was there! until that random day.

next time bring a riding crop! or just kick him b4 he grabs u

  • How often does this happen, really? Men who prey on women would not choose to attack one on horseback when I bet there are joggers in the same park! Maybe he meant to steal the horse??

  • Ha!... My horse would bite someone coming at us like that :P

  • no it wouldn't happen to me because he would get my boot in his head, stupid women was a sitting duck!

  • This wouldn't happen to me as I am unlikely to see anyone, let alone an attacker. Sure is freaky tho!

  • hahahaha am i the only one who thinks this is really funny? I would trot or canter by a creepy man like this, certainly not walk, and keep a good distance.

Then again, this is one situation where its a good thing my horse sometimes has issues with people (especially men) approaching her from the ground, (the kick and bite if they get to close kind of issues) I will be safe!

  • my horses are scared of strangers we only let people we know go near us

  • did you not notice if your horse had sensed danger, always trot if you pass someone on their own so they can grab you x

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! Oh my god. Im shocked. Where and when have this happened? I have never heard anything like this. Can someone please tell me where it happens and how often?

  • Good horse though... it just stands there. That is really horrible that a man would do that!!!

  • No, it couldnt happen to me because that man had a creepy mustache, and i know how guys with creepy mustaches are...

  • This would never happen to me my horse right away if u lunged at him that quick he would gallop right a way

  • This is why I carry a 45 colt on my hip and tought my dog what "get em" means he's very good at it there was a guy trying to steal tools out of the barn and my dog Charlie kept him in that part of the barn till the police showed up

  • This is why I carry a 45 colt on my ranch

  • no, no that could not happen to me cuz my horse wount let me out of his site and he doesnt like men ANDDD he would spaz if a man grabed at him like that plus i would be canterin by

  • Good vid. If it's your property keep a safe distance and obviously call the cops. If its public ground and anyone can walk there, calmly canter off if you feel unsafe, never try to look secure and hang in there if you don't feel safe. For any circumstance riding or not, although you can't always stop an aggressor you CAN ALWAYS be safe rather than sorry. So simply go over possible problems and ways to avoid them, use common sense, don't be too trusting and just keep that radar turned on.

  • Wear a handgun and practice. Problem solved.

  • LMAO... I WOULD RUN THE OTHER WAY ON MY HORSE BAHAHA

  • To me, trail riding is like hiking- never go without a partner and let others know where you're going and when you'll be back.

  • no, this couldnt happen to me coz if he lunged at any of my highly strung psycho horses like that he would be picking his teeth out of their hind feet.....................

  • @Flurryknox2 Yeah that's what my hackney would do. He protects me. He's killed a coyote with me on his back so i wouldn't get hurt. I love him.

  • my horse would never be that calm if someone jumped at us like that. And I always carry a switchblade and cell phone with me and a friend or two when we go on trails.

  • Why doesn't she have a whip... Why is said whip not lashed repeatedly upon said man's face? Just wondering.. We have lots of folks on our trails too. But the bigger danger to us is loose dogs, we all carry cells and long whips at the least, then ride in pairs or more.

  • @horseisbeauty Not everyone uses a whip when riding, so when you are trail riding and you don't usually use a whip you don't even think to bring one.

  • At least she didn't let go of the reins. That could work in her favor because if her horse was frightened, he'll pull back, could cause him to rear....might scare off an attacker. But it could also have an adverse effect....if her arm is pulled out of the socket.

  • my horse is moody and an arabian, and shes like a guard dog. if any one walks up next to me on a trail she will kick and bit the piss out of them. well at least try.

  • its called kick the crap out of your horse and hang on

  • lol when ever I see people that I'm not familiar w/ at the stables I canter/gallop out of site. if I even saw someone walking on our trail I'd be long gone.

  • Go to the link and you will get a self-defence video

  • spooky

  • I didn't know that this could happen . I glad that I watched this video .

  • that was the weirdest thing ive ever seene

  • I didn't see any links.

  • oh my gosh! u know u never really think about how vulnerable we are when we r alone on trails until u hear or see something like this

  • The video is obviously fake, but it really does show one of the uncommon dangers of riding alone. Normally your worried about your horse gettign hurt, falling off, hitting a branch or something, but it never crossed my mind untill now to worry about being assalted while riding....that is pretty creepy. Just another reason why you should NEVER ride alone.

  • That's pretty spooky!

  • Excellent video, shows how vulnerable we are on the trails. Everything happened so fast.. How can I prevent this from happening to me?
