  • Jonathan Butler.....I love him in my youth as I do now. What a talent.

  • Johnathan Butler. One of my all time favorite jazz artist. Great song. Keep it coming bobcad82

  • He's a great singer and musician

  • Recently discovered this song and find myself listening to it over and over again. So glad I ran across this song. It is simple and yet so profound in every way -- instrumentally, vocally, passionately. Absolutely love this song!

  • My jam.

  • yes i love you Jonathan!!!!!!

  • Hey what album is this cut on? This is nice! This is one I have not heard. And I love all of Jonathan Butler's music.

  • I love him! I love this...!

  • Oh yeah!!!!! Been lovin' Jonathan for a long time. Such a talent, a gift from God...Go On Jonathan!!!!!!

  • I love Jonathan Butler and Israel Houghton! Tough jazz artistes, really respect their music! Love it to bits.. :) and I'm a "young people". Lol..

  • Johnathan Butler I remember him from the nineties on a smooth jazz station that use to be, including this song, thanks for posting!!!!

  • Phenomenal singer and guitar player! Has been an inspiration to me ever since I was back in college. This is real music for the grown and sexy! Thanks for posting!!

  • ....This is the sexiest song I've ever heard...If I close my eyes and listen to his lyrics it just sweeps me away. He sounds so sincere and sweet....Hope you have all you need and want in life and love, Jonathan....

  • любимооооо!:)))))

  • I have always been a fan of Jonathan Butler. I heard this track on Pandora for the first time tonight and I was blown away. It is such a romantic and heart felt love song. This is rack and sack music right here. We do not have a smooth jazz station in Atlanta, GA. (No disrespect to WCLK, a traditional jazz station at Clark Atlanta University) I just don't understand what happen to beautiful music on the radio today. Thank You Jonathan Butler, Youtube, Pandora and bobcad82 for the post.

  • Im only 16 and this is my kind of music i grew up listening to it with my dad. (p.s. i hate soulja boy.)

  • What a beautiful song, this is my JB all time favorite track...

  • A rainy summer night in Philly a few years back, the 100 or so who braved the weather and came out to Zanzibar Blue were treated an incredible performance by a great artist. His music seemed to transport you from downtown Philly to exotic places around the world. The intimate setting made it all the more special. For those of you who have an appreciation for real music with meaningful content, treat yourself the next time Jonathan Butler appears anywhere near you. You will not regret it.

  • luv this song! love this guy! everytime i listen this poetry converted to song, great memories come to my mind!!! Peace Bro!!!!

  • He is even better in concert, If you ever get the chance to see him , do so!

  • hayaku nenasai まち君

kEEP UP THOSE PRECIOUS VOCALS.. Johnny B

  • J.B's music is a huge part of my life

  • Love it!! that's all

  • South Africa is very proud of you, son.

  • I listen to his music at least every other day, I like the old and the new. Saw and chatted with him in Charleston, SC under the stars-What a concert he and his daughter put on! Thank you Jonthan Butler, your music is beautiful.

  • The five years since I discovered this music really, I think how much we lost, but I will listen to death every day, pity that time is running out so quickly after we die, we will not listen to good music that, typical American, sensuality, rhythm, life, people, years ... smooth jazz-soul...

Please visit my channel at least once.

  • @popeysaylor Agreed! South African born and raised, sharing his soul with the world. One of the few lucky Africans who have a larger audience.

  • SMooooooTH! :)

  • wow , i used to love this one. JB had soooo many beautiful songs. back when you brought an album and it had atleast 10 nice cuts

  • I heard this live and it sounded so good, especially the background.

  • simplesmente muito bom.de otmo gosto

  • as smoov as it can get rite hurr lol!

  • Johnathan is awesome. Not only a fantastic singer, but a gifted guitarist. If u don't kno his story, do yorself a favor & research him. What he overcame in South Africa & has accomplished...God has truly blessed him w/an INCREDIBLE gift!!!! He is timeless. As some previous posters have asked, how many artists stand the test of time? Johnathan is 1 of the few.

  • This song holds many memories for me and my dear friend Keith Allan Moore...R.I.P. 11/28/08. One of the best things that you did for me was to introduce me to the Artist...Jonathan Butler. Thank you for the Jazz Fests that we attended, thank you for your kind and loving heart. Thank you for taking my photo with Jonathan at the Capitol Jazz Fest 08, which was the last one you attended. Thank you for the beautiful memories that we shared.....I miss u so much.

  • When i play this song i have to grab the 1 that i love pull her in close, slow danceing , lips on her forehead my hands tightly around her waist, looking into her eyes i sing my heart out Do You Love Me. What a song Thanks Mr Buttler, for this endless classic.

  • I have this Cd and boy have i played the devil out of it, and man do i remember this jam. I 1st heard this brother while driving in a small NC town, and when i heard it i went rite into thinking of my lady. This is what real music sounds like.

  • his voic3 4lm0st lik3 MTJ.v0ic3 co0l

  • Young people today do not know anything about this type of music. Amazing how these types of songs are still the best. Know one will be talking about Soulja boys or whom ever 20 years from now.

  • @msgilliam1474 thats rite and its sad because this type of music strikes the soul and causes us to want to be peaceful.

  • @msgilliam1474 I am young girl, and I love this type of music. But yes, you are right. Most of the people from my generation don't know how to appreciate this type of music. Such a shame....

  • @msgilliam1474 bullshit. many many young people listen to this kinda music.

  • I love this too. Is he still performing or recording? I wish ole schoolers would keep their stuff going. Chances ar e their fans are still around(Like me)!

  • Thank you!! I had heard this once some years ago on the radio, I had not heard it since. I am so excited I have found it through my brief search of Jonathan Butler just now. :) I have the song as a favorite!

  • yes yes yes tell me

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL

  • Very beautiful tune. A classic song, very mellow.

  • sorry whats this song about.

  • @silentbliss its a proposal song its a song about wanting to ask some1 to marry them. Its what all men should be looking for and what if not all but most women want.

  • Between George Benson & Jon B, they are among my favorite male vocalists and guitarists. Truly gems among gems...to have the ability to play and sing like this...RIDICULOUSLY TALENTED!!

  • @darrellkga thats rite TALENT TALENT and more Talent this brother has it, so many radio stations are selling out or have sold out. From Tom Joyer to Mike Basten they both claim to play true RB music but they dont. Thanks for utube.

  • @MyCarlos1963

What a shame, what a shame that radio doesn't embrace such a talented artist.

The dude can play the heck out of a guitar; and by the way he can sing while he plays. I have promoted a few concerts with Jb. He is the nicest, coolest guy that you could ever meet. Even though radio gives JB limited support, I can see by the number of views on YOUTUBE, that there are some people in the world with good ears. So keep supporting JB.

  • A true master at work. His vocals are as smooth as velvet and this cut is just HEAVEN!

  • yes this isbeautiful

  • DAYUM! I was a fan 20 years ago...still didnt realize he could be a granddad todaty...thats kinda weird...his vocals on this track remind me a lot of Howard Hewitt...dont you think?

  • yeah, similar..little more forceful than Howard. Howard was a little more like a crooner. Both my favorites..
