I think it also has to do with the fact that he's performing as a solo act where as their record deal was obviously a band thing. Clearly... if he was trying to make it on Canadian Idol and was also working at the Bay... then they got screwed over in their contracts.

@ommel0812 The term "boyband" implies a group of males who simply sing songs prepared for them. The Moffatts all played multiple instruments, wrote their own songs, etc. etc. To put them in the same category as say, the backstreet boys, does not give them the credit that they deserve.

No, he's actually not my type, even if he was straight. There are much more talented people IN MY HIGH SCHOOL (arts school), compared this guy. The Moffatts really weren't good, they were just cute when they were little and had a few CATCHY songs, but Dave Moffatt cannot stand alone. This is so shit compared to American Idol and I'M CANADIAN.

I'm not too surprised that it wasn't that great. His voice isn't powerful at all, it was just boring, but interesting to watch because I remember watching the Moffatts music videos when I was young.

No, he's actually not my type, even if he was straight. There are much more talented people IN MY HIGH SCHOOL (arts school), compared this guy. The Moffatts really weren't good, they were just cute when they were little and had a few CATCHY songs, but Dave Moffatt cannot stand alone. This is so shit compared to American Idol and I'M CANADIAN.

Wow! I have been out of the loop for way too long! Lol! I was cleaning out my old cd's and adding them to my iTunes when I came across 'A New Beginning.' I haven't listened to that cd in forever!
