I was listening to Beyonce's If I Were a Boy and it's about heartbreak in a girl's point of view. Girls were complaining about the same thing, how boys are selfish pigs who cheat. I think some relationship problems are due to difficulty of understanding how the opposite gender feels and plain immaturity because we(boys and girls) just don't know any better. Also, insecurity plays a very big part in it. Low self esteem or past rejection can make anyone defensive and seemingly cruel.

i agree with the song im sick of being hurt! i was dating someone and while we were going out he liked my best frend and he didnt even love me! he talked to he all the time and told her that his heart always belonged to her and i wanted to scream at him. im sick of pain and i dont want it no more

I think this is my favorite of their songs, because it's ridiculously true. From my co-worker that went back to the guy that gave her a black eye, to my female friends, asking me why guys act like that, to my mother's boyfriend, to my male friend's relationships that work or don't work. Nice guys are boring, but assholes (or at the very least neglegent guys) are sexeh!
It's really tough for me to figure out how much to pretend I don't care to keep a girl interested.

its not really saying what everyone is thinking about girls. everyone is saying things like girls are creul and all this stuff...the song is saying that i girl usually wants what she cant have. i have found this song to be partially true. if you have something at first and then you get your heart broken while you still have it, you will want it back if it is taken away the right way.

I was listening to Beyonce's If I Were a Boy and it's about heartbreak in a girl's point of view. Girls were complaining about the same thing, how boys are selfish pigs who cheat. I think some relationship problems are due to difficulty of understanding how the opposite gender feels and plain immaturity because we(boys and girls) just don't know any better. Also, insecurity plays a very big part in it. Low self esteem or past rejection can make anyone defensive and seemingly cruel.

Not to be mean or anything like that but, having gay friends and being in the gay community for now nearly 10 years, some gays are even more of a woman then us woman. SO what you just said is hilarious. This might be a guy singing but truth in the matter, it goes both ways. Well all girls are different really. I personally love my boyfriend to be clingy and say all that stuff. It makes me feel loved and secure - I like to know that he is truly in love with me, and has eyes focused only on me. I suppose that;s because my exes cheated on me, and I just like to be constantly reassured. So I guess its really up to the guys to understand their girls and learn what they like and what they dont. Communication is the key to a relationship.

I guess some guys have to try harder with different women, depending on who they are. You must admit, there are women who will admit things like "ha, I can get any man I want." They're used to the man NOT setting some standards. You may accpet your boyfriend, but this other chic, she's used to guys pleading for it and thinks it's too easy, no challenge, she probably would rather be at another guy's mercy, for a change, for a challenge. Not all women will admit that begging is not a good idea.

But come on, the opposite isn't entirely true. If he just flat out begs for her without setting some standards, then that won't work either. Don't you think the guy should to some extent, act like "she could be better if,..." if he's to get the action that he wants with her?
Admit it, he has to use his brain to some extent. Persistent, yes, but still, he can't just be flat out begging, or she'll consider him too easy and not go for him. So, come on, this song has SOME truth to it.

Yes it does. Trust me. I have so many examples of my own life and experiences of the relationships to my friends.
My friend is an asshole, and his exes all miss him and are crazy about him. Relatinships which lasted 9 months went straight to hell, and the guy is the sufferer.
Girls will never be satisfied, they will tire after a while. Break their hearts, they will desire it for so long.
Women are monsters, not the guys.. we just protect ourselves.
This song is scarily correct.

Guys that do that piss me off. It's so annoying when the couple break up, the guy cries for a month and tries to get her back when shes already moved on but the guy's too much of a dumbass to realize it.
