@dragonquest20 Yes, it is strange for us today since we all grew up in ethnic states. Back in middle ages and in the antiquity there were lot of mercenaries who faught for whom payed the most. Especially in the middle ages, and even more in times of Byzantium or the Western Roman Empire, were the empires made no such discrimination for people of different ethincities, the armies of those empires were composed of numerus people of different nations and different religions sometimes.
