All have sinned and greatly offended the holy God of the bible. The just punishment is death then hell. That's not Gods will. He suffered and died on the cross paying for the law you broke in His life's blood so He could legally dismiss your case. You must repent turn from your sin and trust alone in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
@SEASAN100 Mark 16:17,18- And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons..... enough said :) and done it myself a few times.
@SEASAN100 Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Acts 19:15 But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” the answer is "yes!" but the problem is not with Jesus the problem is with us. is the person casting out the demon a spirit filled believer? Matthew 17:21 "But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." that can be another thing stopping us. spirit filled, faith, pray and fast, cast out in jesus name
@sonsbrightlight Well I don't really like the idea of exorcism's in the church. Maybe for the pastor occasionally but if a demon is cast out then 7 more will be waiting to re-enter so preaching of the gospel has got to be key.
When physicist Richard Feynman was once asked by a questioner how gravity could escape the event horizon of a black hole, he replied simply that a static gravitational field would be carried by virtual gravitons, which have no trouble traveling faster than light
why are you watching it, and subscribe I'm tired of all of you guys who come to Christian video to insult us if you don't believe fine stay away of the Christians videos
@eagles5822 If you can`t stand criticism, if you can`t stand the truth, stay away from a public forum. When you preach on the streetcorner, you must expect all kinds of comments.
The problem here is... If you are allowed to propagate these bat shit ideas... You are obliged to grant every other blood cult waco, their insanity. You should be forced to take responsibility for your actions. Not scapegoat your indiscretions onto a zombie.
The demon's goal is to get people to disregard God. In the Bronze Age, posessing people was, I guess, presumably a good strategy; In the 21st century, Satan is quite happy to let people believe that nothing supernatural exists at all, so no demon is ever going to let a scientist document its existence. God, on the other hand, is eager to be known and understood by humans, and, for his purposes, narrative is a much better descriptive tool than equations.
@Envergure It's your deception that the devil has changed his strategy and it's the bad teaching you've received that provokes you to use wrongly the term, "possessing" people. Had your teachers had more honesty and more skill with the Scriptures, they would have told you that "possession" is largely a KJV error, however, a little effort on your part could have taught you also. Don't swallow the teachings of men. Learn to use an Interlinear and concordance and faith to learn truth.
@BludBaut Don't swallow the teachings of men.>.. Why don`t you practice what you preach. ? Did you YOURSELF invent your philosophy, or are you regurgitating what others told you, to be the truth ?
@Envergure The fact is that multitudes of people who hate God believe in the supernatural. The dead and unbelieving (Laodicean/powerless/fundamentalist) churches are one of the major promoters, if not the chief proponents of "nothing supernatural exists at all."
Get educated and learn that just as the supernatural is on virtually every page of the Bible, so it's to be in the lives of every Christian. Mark 16 isn't obtuse.
@BludBaut>> Get educated and learn that just as the supernatural is on virtually every page of the Bible >>. Why don`t you start with proving the bible to be a reliable historical document ? It is not. It is one of the greatest accumulations of nonsense ever assembled.
@Envergure Piper says, "there's no rule that the gifts can't function at our church," acknowledging that the gifts DON'T FUNCTION at his church.
What's wrong with this picture is obvious to all whose lives and churches have the gifts and the supernatural in common experience.
Just search YouTube. It's full of Christians working miracles and healing people in Jesus' name...in spite of the millions of unbelieving "Christians" who hide their eyes from the truth of the Spirit's baptism.
@BludBaut Save all your silly rhetoric, my friend and take the test of the bible. You will be dead,in spite of those divine promises. And these signs shall follow them that believe: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink poison , it shall not hurt them; (Mark 16:17-18)
Since you're so ignorant and goofy, I'll give you a clue. The demons are the ones who voice the opinions in your head that dishonor God and His Word and represent themselves *as* you. They don't say, "You think...," they say, "I think..." They lead you around by the nose lying to you and deceiving you into thinking you're "an independent thinker." Jesus said the whole world lies under the devil's authority and you're held captive to do his will.
@BludBaut Jesus said the whole world lies under the devil's authority >>> And if that is true, who gives all this power to the devil ?? This LOVING god is just a desinterested spectator of the devils work. !! When is HE going to take the wheel ?
@ndzoko It's not power, it's authority and it was usurped. You should have learned that long ago.
The answer to your last question is far too lengthy to be answered in 500 characters, unless you want the simple answer in Rev 11:15, but that doesn't seem like that which your sarcasm seeks.
@BludBaut Indeed, my sarcasm seeks real answers. COMMON SENSE answers, But there is very little" common sense" in the bible, not even when you read between the lines. I A few minutes ago i was in discusion with a christian, who maintained that accordinf to the gospels... non believers, or believers in other gods, are the ennemies of christians. "
@ndzoko You don't want answers. If you wanted answers, you'd humble yourself because surely you're aware of James 4:6 and 2 Corinthians 3:14. Therefore, your arrogance testifies against you. That's why you cannot hear God nor His holy and precious Word which is more certain than anything else in this world. Luke 16:17
BTW, forgive me for crediting you with good spelling. My bad. I should have dismissed you. Proverbs 18:2
So, adios. When you crash, cry out in sincerity and humility.
@BludBaut You little coward. (retalliation for your covered insults) You hide behind your bible verses. How old are you kid. You act like a 6th grader. I give you credit for your spelling. OK ? Satisfied ?
@ndzoko I thought I made it clear. You're not worth my time because your heart is so hard.
Coward? Hide behind Bible verses? Something is seriously wrong with your reasoning abilities.
I'm probably old enough to be your father. Jesus first appeared to me and spoke to me about 40 years ago.
So, if you're going to be nice and leave me alone, goodbye. You don't have enough sense to argue with me. Look up the verses I gave you. They're directly applicable and pertinent and revealing.
@BludBaut I tell you something, kid. My oldest daughter is just a bit older as you . So Jesus appaered to you . How silly can you get ? He has no time for the hungry today ( 2 billion) nor for dying from hunger today (35,000). The 5,million Jews in WW2 don`t matter, But he appears to you. Congratulations, you are moreworth of his attention than 5 billion on this earth. Let me laugh at your gullibility.
@BludBaut Just one more minute of your precious time. A tiny lesson in christianity for ignorant christians:Timothy 2:24-26 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
I have had to decide to leave the scene for a while; I am getting no other work done. I have songs and novels to write. The challenge on these vids has been rewarding. Thanks to all my readers.
Just remember there is neither evidence for a god, nor a need for one.
The worst offence you may commit against yourself is to accept an unwarranted guilt.
Morality and human decency are not derived from religion. They precede it.
Challenge yourself; step to my side just for one minute.
Without the religions we would steal to live. We wouldn’t work to produce food or goods or services. Having no faith we would simply take the wives, cattle or houses of our neighbours as we felt the need. We would kill people for envy, requirement or pleasure. On weekdays we would commit genocide and torture, whilst reserving the weekend for incest, rape and orgy.
@StrumstickJoe, what a bunch of nonsense, religion has very little to do with why people help or hurt others, it acts as a motivation and reason to do so, but you imply that atheists are incapable of helping other people. Which is a bigoted and spiteful thing to say.
The teachings of christianity: from vicarious redemption, to the love of enemies, to the urging that no thought for the morrow must be taken, no thrift, no care - but rather hate - for friends and family, to the apocalyptic wish for humanity’s end… these are immoral teachings.
I want the world to shed these myths and come to reality.
the biggest lie the devil still tells is that he, himself doesn't exist. i'm really surprised by the amount of people here going on on how there are no demons...i
If we were doing the WORKS of Jesus in our time. Demons were going crazy and exposing themselves. But since we are so weak and materialistic, no demons around, or so we think...
There are no demons. Nothing chanted such as prayer, can help anyone suffering from mental problems. Stories are easily shown to be fiction by the weakest characters. The devil is the weakest character in the bible. Even
christians believe the devil is not a god. It would be "miraculous" for the devil to know each of us not to mention, for the devil to tempt us or demonically "control" us. it would have been much more believable if God and the Devil were "in the begining," instead of just God.
@clouisphotography What you appear to fail to understand is that "the devil" and "satan" and all other references to him are terms that don't strictly mean satan alone. It encompasses all who are under his authority.
Similarly, when we say, "God did that for me," we're not misspeaking just because God might have sent an angel to do the work.
@BludBaut No one is under a "devils" authority. There is not one act in all of history that attributed to any devil. Also, there is not one judge that has ruled a "devil" was responsible for any crime. Whats that tell you? There are a lot of people who are delusional. "Devil" stories are easily shown to be a work of fiction.
@clouisphotography God has given you the right to believe all the lies you want. If you ever want to hear and walk in truth, let me know. Until then, go play with those who like to believe the lies you like to believe.
@ndzoko I'm supposing that you regarded that I was waiting with bated breath for your reply and when it was witty beyond compare, my mouth was hushed?
I was working on my computer, friend; not waiting for you to show your disdain. You're quite arrogant to be so ignorant of Scripture and spiritual warfare.
@BludBaut your statements "God might have sent an angel to do the work." or " God has given you the right to believe all the lies you want." Is absolute proof of your delusion. Just like a church being "blessed" because of their ownership of a 33 acre complex that included indoor basketball courts and in the same city children are starving. The same is true why Santa brings mountains of toys to rich kids and starvation to the homeless. Seems your God sends angels to those with great credit.
@clouisphotography I apologise for what the church has made in this world, the real church of Christ is not between walls. It's in our hearts. Look onto christian lives and discern the truthfull out of it so you can learn from them. You will be astonished what you will get when you put yourself humble before others to learn from them!
@clouisphotography What is an idiot like you, who doesn't even have the internal honesty to acknowledge the overwhelming evidence of God and His Word, doing on a page that discusses the same.
Please don't bother me anymore with your stupidity. You're an idiot, a liar and a fool. Because I'm sure you don't have enough sense to understand your idiocy isn't appreciated, I'll put an email filter on YouTube so I won't see your stupidity.

@DrmBtr777 And that is what makes youtubers ignorant and John Piper trustworthy. He backs EVERYTHING up with scripture. In fact he almost quotes more scripture than he actually says anything else. You would think that the people watching his video would be inclined to follow his example. But apparently not...
Most demon possessed people have these demons psychologically induced. They are not real. Not to say all demons are completely gone, yet very few cases of such possessions are the actual results of real demons at work at least not in the exsorcisms I've witnessed.
@1cor14 It depends on what part of the world you are in too. In Hati, you will find more demon possessed than psychologically sick. In the US, it is the other way around. (to name two extreems)
@unluckyfellow88 "Possessed" is not really a word that communicates accurately. One can have demons and be demonized and their involvement and influencing by demons never be known or seen by most people.
In other words, you might know dozens of people who are demonized and you might not suspect it in any. The closer and better you know someone, the more likely the devil will show his hand.
what green5leaf commented is write. If you are born again you cannot be demon possessed but yes demon oppressed but as long as your faith is in Jesus Christ and what He did at the Cross the oppression will go, although doesn't mean that Satan will never bother you again, he won't but he knows where the faith of the Believer is, either in the Sacrifice of Christ for victorious living or in something else.
this is a secret retwal to cast out demon! say this with fellings! ..........halo-balo and howdy do!... musty prawns and timmbuktu! ..yeltsy rye and hipurty phoo! kick'em in the dishpan..hu..hu..hu
John Piper is endorsing Rick Warren; a pragmatist pastor who is leading people astray with false doctrine and accepting and promoting erronous bible 'translations' like The Message. In the Lord's Prayer in the message is the phrase: as a bove so below, which is a well known occult phrase and basically comes down to pantheism.
this is antithetical to what Jesus said about himself:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me
it never ceases to amaze of how atheists flock to christian videos if they dont believe in God suppodsedly..r they tryna convert us to atheism? i wish they would realize how the devil is using them for that purpose
@patriciacarrasco argumentation lies in the bosom of fools. the Bible says that those who say there is no God are fools. atheists love arguing. the truth shall make you free, but first it shall make you angry. we can't change people, only God can do that...our job is to obey God and let his love flow through us constantly.
A fool's displeasure is quickly known; a wise man keeps cool and ignores insults.
@patriciacarrasco It is good for ppl to watch these to get some understanding men..I dnt care wat the name "atheist" suggest. Let ppl watch. Dnt mock!
@patriciacarrasco you should welcome dialogue from atheists. we are called to be a light to atheists, and before we were Christians we were all atheists from a functional standpoint.
@patriciacarrasco, no one is trying to convert you to atheism, it bothers me to hear fellow atheists on videos that center around atheism bitching about Christians and other theists coming on there and doing the same thing. Your point is moot and overgeneralizing.
@patriciacarrasco Assume there's no such thing as the devil - just for a moment - (if you can get your head round that!)
Then think, why else would an atheist try to convert you?
Might it be because religion is the most retrogressive, dangerous influence in the world today, with its inherent immorality, and its apocalyptic world view? - And so they want to save us from that morass of danger? Might it be that?
@StrumstickJoe Atheism is more dangerous. It tells people that there's no point to life and no point to having morals making it easier for people to commit suicide
@gilbert4321 How does a statement... I can`t believe in a god, because I have no evidence... make somebody dangerous ? Look at the Buddhists. They have no god, yet there are no more peaceful people on this earth as Buddhists. No people with less suicide. Your comment does not portray an adult judgement.
I can pay a man's debts, if I want to help him. I can even serve his time.
But I can't forgive him for something he has done to another human! That would be mad and immoral; to say, "I forgive you for treading on that man's toes" is absurd, vicarious, stupid. Who am I to ignore the victim's broken toe, and give you forgiveness in spite of it?
If anybody offers to take away your responsibility in that manner, distrust him; tell him he is evil and immoral.
@greylight Why would I want to get involved in a conversation with you about how it might be possible to confess to a crime in someone's place and serve their time for it? Has that never been done? Are you missing my point completely?
Yes.
I am arguing against the vicarious redemption that these religious fools believe is offered to them by the death and subsequent zombification of their jc character.
After they have taken on the "sin" of the bitch in the garden, of course.
@patriciacarrasco You know, I was just talking to the devil last week, and i asked him how i could best use my atheism to conquer the will of jesus. He said, "Humdrum-"(that's my name, Humdrum) he says, "Humdrum, the best way to preach the work of the great satan is to profess your refusal to believe in a god in a youtube comment. I spent the better part of eternity coming up with this, it's one hell of a plan, dastardly if i do say so myself." Satan's one hell of a strategist in your eyes, huh?
The Bible say demons can not enter into Christians bodies like demonic possession because we are saved by the lamb and have the holy spirit in us so where the holy spirit is Satan can not go. But the Bible does say demons can harass Christians outside of the body torment us and try to break our faith. If that happened to me I would call Jesus & ask him to take care of Satan and his goons for me. Satan is powerful then me but he is not more powerful then my friend/Savior Jesus.
Actually, I know a man who is VERY Christian and walks with God, and he met a demon-possessed Christian. He's actually cast out devils in Jesus' Name quite a few times.
@Jerseygirl8999 I agree, can't be completely possessed, but if we listen to demons and fall to temptation/sin, what's the difference? Jesus gave life to our spirit by Holy Spirit, but we need to renew our minds according to God's words and sanctify/keep our bodies pure. I believe demons can dwell in a Christian's body or mind, but not the spirit. We need to take every thought captive, & keep our bodies pure. Holy spirit abides in our spirit, we need to surrender our minds and body as well.
@Siscast Not trying to be ugly but "I believe demons can dwell in a Christian's body or mind, but not the spirit." is something you heard from men and not the Bible.
However, rather than disputing you, would you like to tell us which part of "you" is the part where the demon is? I suppose to answer that, you'd first have to determine which part of "you" is where your spirit is.
I think that if you think about this for awhile, you'll dismiss your own answer, pray and ask God for understanding.
@BludBaut The Bible talks about the Body, Soul, and Spirit, and I know it is a point of dissension. My stance and experience is that these are three and distinct. And I've seen too many Christians demon "possessed" to deny it. Like I said, we are three parts, Body, Soul and Spirit. God gave life to my spirit, where the Holy Spirit dwells, and where I am sealed. My Body (flesh) and Soul (mind) is in daily renewing and sanctification. My flesh invites sin, and sin opens the door to demons.
@BludBaut I know it's not very popular and the Baptist/Evangelical Churches in America tends to dismiss this, but try spending some time listening to deliverance ministers or programs. Demon oppression of Christians are absolutely real and you really can't deny it after seeing it so many times. Even generational curses oppress Christians. We have the victory in Christ, but it is said, God's people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, and we need to claim the victory and keep ourselves pure
@Siscast I've listened to deliverance ministers for almost forty years. Nothing I said suggested I have a problem with deliverance. You've not paid attention to what I said.
@Siscast BTW, just to show how we come up with carnal answers, the Bible doesn't say your spirit is where the Holy Spirit abides. 1Cor6:13-15 says the body is not for fornication but for the Lord and the Lord for the body and your members are members of Christ. On the other hand, the Word also says "he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit and that word means "to glue or fasten." Your reasoning doesn't seem to give you space for demons. Maybe they're spirits and their place is in the heart.
@BludBaut I don't understand how any of those verses contradict what I said. Doesn't the Corinthians verse agree that we need to keep our Body pure and not use it for sin? And what about the second verse? Doesn't that agree that demons cannot dwell in our spirits? What point are you trying to make?
@Siscast "I don't understand how any of those verses contradict what I said."
I understand. That's because you've been brainwashed and are sure you're correct regardless of what the Bible says. It's very easy to read the Bible the way you want to see it and then say, "I believe the Bible" while rejecting MUCH that it says. That's the problem with having a wicked heart. We do LOTS of pretending.
I say again. You DID NOT understand what I wrote. First, because you read over it so quickly
@BludBaut lol. Okay thanks for pointing out I've been brainwashed. Please un brainwash me. Actually, I'm even confused on what you think I'm brainwashed about. Can you clarify what I am brainwashed about? Is it regarding that Christians can have demons?
@Siscast cont2 when you saw familiar Scriptures, you did what all Christians do -- you dismissed them with, "I already know that" without hearing what they were saying. Consequently, by the time you got through reading everything I said, you were confused and couldn't figure out why I wrote.
I wrote because you DON'T understand what you're so sure you DO understand, AND you're not going to understand it until YOU WASH OUT YOUR WRONG IDEAS with the truth of Scripture AND THAT'S NOT EASY to do.
@Siscast The idea that demons can or cannot "dwell in our spirits" is a RELIGIOUS TEACHING WITHOUT SCRIPTURE. It's a carnal, rationalized idea that "makes sense" to most people. It reminds me of my friend's remark, "I don't NEED Scripture to prove it; I KNOW IT'S RIGHT." That's where you are with this concept. You're so sure it's right, you don't even BOTHER to check it with Scripture, but I'm telling you PLAINLY that you cannot HONESTLY DEFEND IT WITH THE BIBLE, even though "it makes sense."
@BludBaut Thanks, u finally made ur point and pointed out ur disagreement. Doesn't the bible say that when we are saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the comforter will dwell with us forever? Is it possible for demon to dwell in the same area as Holy Spirit? The bible says where light is, darkness cannot dwell. The bible also makes distinction of body, soul and spirit. Hence, I said that the demons can't dwell in our spirits, but rather the body or the soul. U can disagree if u want
@Siscast "Doesn't the bible say that when we are saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit"
No, it doesn't say that.
Your thinking isn't spiritual. I'm not saying that to insult you, but as I intimated in my last remark, you don't ponder and consider nearly enough on the Word of God and you therefore have very natural perspectives because God's Spirit hasn't given you much revelation. Your need isn't "explanation" but meditation and faith towards God for insight, understanding and revelation.
@Siscast "The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical."
I already addressed this and you neglected thoughtful consideration of it. If Jesus, or the Spirit (light) dwells in you and "where light is, darkness cannot dwell," then why did Jesus say "out of the heart proceed ... the things that defile the man"?
How does evil proceed out from "where light is" (Matt 15:18)?
@Siscast The Scriptures plainly teach, "the natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirit of God." Having a demon in your mind or body or spirit MAY, IN YOUR OPINION, be a "spiritual" concept, but it's not. It's a religious concept and you've never bothered to see if you can justify it with Scripture. NO SCRIPTURE SAYS that spirits either do or do not "dwell" in our spirits, so why do you insist on saying it? Because of your reasoning.
The Bible teaches that demons and God like your body. Now think. If God wants your body for Himself, and demons want your body for themselves, it's easy to see this is a Biblical truth. Now, think about how much space your body consumes. What part of your mind, will, emotions, spirit, flesh, etc., isn't in your "body."
I mean it. THINK ABOUT IT. So, where is your spirit? Is it NOT in your body? How big is your spirit? The size of a pea? Or the size of your body?
Are you getting the point? You make up "doctrinal issues" because OTHER RELIGIOUS PEOPLE SAY SIMILAR THINGS AND YOU SIMPLY MIMIC THEM.
Where in your body is your spirit going to be that another spirit, which can easily pass right through solid matter isn't going to touch it? Which Scripture addresses this? NONE. It's a fabricated religious doctrine. My words were attempting to provoke you to think, but you did the "I know that" and started examining my motive
@BludBaut It definitely is NOT a doctrinal issue. I don't care if you think demon's can't dwell in Christians or not. You are my brother in Christ and we are all one body and I love u no matter what. We can disagree about the matter of where a demon dwells and I'm OK with that. I gave u my line of reasoning, and u made ur point. I probably shouldn't have grouped u with people who deny demons are real or can oppress Christians but u were very vague, so forgive me.
MANY falsely teach one receives the Holy Spirit when one is born again. Not so. One receives Jesus when one is born again. One receives the Holy Spirit when one is baptized in the Holy Spirit. Examine the text carefully, including the types and the Greek words and you'll see that in 1Cor 12:13 "by" should have been translated "in." The baptism in the Spirit is God's seal, accompanied by His giftings, usually tongues.
@Siscast I think that before you address either the time which the H.S. enters us or the issue of evil coming forth from where light is, that you should do your due diligence in the Word of God. I shouldn't be doing your homework for you. That doesn't help you "hide the Word in your heart."
I've spent many hours examining these things in the Word and marveling at the deceit and lies commonly promoted by preachers parroting one another. The Word of God is sure but preachers misrepresent it.
INSTEAD of examining and comparing your opinions of Scripture with what Scripture ACTUALLY SAYS.
I do hope you're beginning to get the picture.
We're carnal the Scripture says, so thinking in spiritual terms isn't our strength. We see through a glass darkly and have difficulty "getting a handle" on spiritual things.
I suggest that you consider that your spirit takes up all the space your body takes up and simply forget this "a demon can't dwell in our spirits"
since you're going to be very hard pressed to find "two or three witnesses" (Deut 17:6, Matt 18:16) to defend either position.
This was the reason I mentioned Mk 7:21. I THOUGHT that would PROVOKE YOU TO THINK. After all, if God is in our hearts, how can evil be coming out? !!!!
Can you see that that SHOULD MAKE YOU ASK QUESTIONS?
I'm not suggesting that anyone has all the answers, only that some "answers" are so obviously wrong they should be rejected.
@Siscast Now, before you dismiss that, consider Jesus' words that the things that defile the man come from within, out of the heart (Mk 7:21). Now, what are you going to do with that and a born again man? Do born again men still have evil? if so, it's coming from their hearts. So how can Jesus "dwell in your heart by faith" and evil come out of there? Does carnal reasoning help here? Carnal reasoning NEVER HELPS but it looks like more Bible meditation and prayer is needed..
@BludBaut I see a backhanded tone of condescension here. Every response, you've been quite condescending to me and quite sure of yourself, even when your verses didn't contradict anything I said.
I still struggle with evil. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. That is why if I don't pray or dwell IN Christ, I can easily fall into sin like a dog going back to his vomit. I don't know about you but I admit that I still fall. My heart, my mind and my flesh tempts me with sinful desires....
@Siscast The condescension was in the Scriptures that exposed your wrong paradigm and contradicted you. Yet, instead of meditating on the Scriptures I gave you and recognizing the doctrinal issues you have with your wrong paradigm, you want to "help" me understand. Friend, it's you who doesn't understand and the Scriptures I gave you will show you that, IF you'll pay enough attention to them.
Of course Christians have demons. They can have anything they want. ;-)
@BludBaut Maybe ur just being incredibly vague just throwing scriptures at me and expecting me to follow ur line of thought. I looked at those scriptures and nothing contradicted anything I have been saying. In fact, you haven't' been addressing anything I said in response to you. Since you are above carnal reasoning, please teach me and show me exactly what u are trying to say. Ur so adamant about making some kind of point and its obviously ur disagreeing with me on something. Teach me.
@BludBaut What do you think dying to ourselves and putting our flesh to the death mean? Everyday, I need to die more to my self, my own desires, the desires of my flesh, and live and dwell in Christ, in holiness, in purity, in righteousness. Sanctification and renewing of the mind is a process. Everyone has demons in them, even Christians. Repent and cast them out in Jesus name. Then keep urself pure and keep the demons out. Then it is the process of putting my flesh, my self to death.
@BludBaut I don't know why you would disagree with anything I said, unless you are for a reason so sure that Christians can't be demon possessed or oppressed. If you have your mind made up about this, arguing about this will be a waste of time and not encouraging to you or me. I can't deny it, so all I can say is check out deliverance sessions of Win Worley, or listen to Omegaman radio, or check out fotm1 on youtube. There are many brothers out there who are engaged in daily spiritual warfare
@Siscast Because I came so far from where you are, for clarification, in my first message, to, "you'd first have to determine which part of "you" is where your spirit is," let me add, "so you'll know where the demon can't be."
Now, I eventually showed you that thinking isn't Biblically correct.
Also let me add the reference of Eph 3:17 for "that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith."
@BludBaut Quite honestly, I don't know you and you don't know me, so I'm not sure why you would even say something like that.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical. But most Christians can still sin and are still oppressed by demons. Fear, sickness, anger, addictions, etc. This is undeniable. Therefore, I can agree with the Bible that body, soul and spirit are separate.
@Siscast If you want to keep arguing, go ahead and send me a message instead. It is really hard to keep responding in shorts, and not have all my comments pointed out.
@Siscast Arguing? I was never arguing. I was, as I've already stated plainly, trying to provoke you to think "outside your paradigms" which are somewhat faulty. This error affects US ALL. Our carnality makes us resist admitting we err. I hope by now, you're not still having that struggle with what I've said. If you are, I encourage you to pray in tongues a lot and ask God to help you see and understand and change, since that's the process we began at birth and seem to always continue to need.
@Siscast "The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical."
This is the very thing on which I focused. You're taking a spiritual truth and inserting it in the wrappings of a carnal reasoning. This creates spiritual blinders and hinders you from seeing light and revelation.
You freely acknowledge that you have daily struggles. SOMETHING should therefore tell you that you don't have it all "figured out" and to look somewhere else.
@Siscast Let me give you TWO very simple yet extremely practical words of advice. 1) DON'T PARROT ANYONE.
If you can't find "two or three Scriptures" that PLAINLY STATE something, then WHY would you feel compelled, or EVEN WANT to say it???
2) If you don't have "two or three" Scriptures, QUESTION YOURSELF AND YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE, and pray and ask God to increase your wisdom and understanding.
@BludBaut I'm positive I've been influenced in my thinking regarding this from other brothers who are far more Godly than me. But I didn't believe it blindly because of man, but because it made sense to me in light of scripture and reason as well as experience. I just want to point out though, where in a Christian a demon can dwell is not a doctrinal issue. However, I think I can say what I believe through scripture as same as u have, without it being doctrinal.
@BludBaut Thanks for your advice. Maybe one day, I will have wisdom regarding why my reasoning based on this scripture is wrong, and not dismiss it simply as "rationalization" and not "insert wrappings of carnal reasoning (??)". Pray for me :)
@Siscast It won't happen "one day." God loves to play "hide and seek." It should be obvious that He's been hiding for a long time. How long have you been seeking? How much time do you spend meditating on Scripture? What do you do when you discover the multitude of paradoxes and dichotomies in the Word? Or have you even noticed they're everywhere? God puts those those things there for the reason I said in my 2nd sentence. You'll get answers *after* you exercise faith for them (Mk 11:24).
@Siscast I can pray for you, but you'd find much better and faster success by following my advice. God is not a manipulator. He delights in the one who seeks Him. Most people's opinions of God never came from God at all -- they're just assumptions. Every aspect of creation and even the forms of men all testify to the hidden things of the spirit realm. While the Bible is the Word of Truth, the greatest help to understanding the things of God is the natural realm and its detail is endless.
@Siscast And it's really easy to hear God. All you need to do is believe what you pray when you pray. From the time you choose to believe to the time the answer comes, satan will bring doubt to you and all you have to do is refuse doubt and unbelief and HOLD FAST to what you believed WHEN YOU PRAYED.
I trust you recognize that though this is plainly written in Scripture, (Mk 11:23-24) you'd be hard pressed to find 5% of your favorite preachers who preach it.
@BludBaut 2) ..then pray: Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name we pray that you cure them all, Amen.
I said no tongue in cheek from YOU as YOU prayed that prayer.
I wouldn't pray it, praying is nonsense - but the authors of jesus said it would work. They said that time and time again (as I referenced) I don' believe it; you do.
So go for it!! Pray!
Oh, and don't ref. the bible to me - i can do that, to show you what nonsense it is - but when you quote it, you do the same thing - which I presume you don't mean to do!
@StrumstickJoe At the risk of disobeying the Lord (Matt7:6), I'll give you an education you're obviously too stupid to get on your own. 1) Faith is of God (Heb12:2) 2) Faith is recognizable -- tangible, if you will (Heb 11:1) 3) Faith ALONE pleases God (Rom 14:23b, Heb 11:6) 4) Faith causes God to approve the Believer (Gen 15:6, Rom 10:10)
5) REFUSING to believe will reward you accordingly (Rev 21:8)
Your smug arrogance doesn't please the Lord, who knows the deceit of your heart.
@StrumstickJoe Of course, all I gave you was the Word of God. I cannot give you the sense to understand it. God, unfortunately, has kept that from you.(2Tim 2:25)
You might considering humbling your hard arrogant heart that would presume to take His name in vain as you did here and repent, though I won't be holding my breath. Any fool stupid enough to mock God and His Word as you did isn't likely to turn in a day.
BTW, I deal with the sincerely stupid better than the mocker of my God's Word.
@Siscast My point has been from the very first, that you should get your ideas PRIMARILY, not from men, but from God.
John 8:31-32 is too clear to misunderstand in the NASB. Where the KJV says "continue," the NASB, correctly translates the word "abide." It could also be translated "stay," "dwell," "live."
The point being, when you start living in the Word, the Word will adjust your perspectives and the "sense" you'll start getting will be God's and not men's.
@Siscast If Jesus freely gives and righteousness is a gift, then you should see that your ability to hear God isn't dependent on your "godliness" but on your faith. The woman with the demonized daughter was a Gentile, without a covenant with God and completely in sins, yet she received from Jesus what she needed AND PRAISE from Him also. Mediating on the Word of God will give you more than the greatest influence from the godliest men. We have a BETTER COVENANT than one based on men's godliness.
@Siscast Let me point out something else to you regarding the lies unbelieving believers tell about healing. They like to say, "It's up to God," no? So why, when the woman with the issue of blood received a miraculous healing, did Jesus say, "Who touched me?" and why didn't you ALREADY understand that that is the WORD OF GOD TESTIFYING THAT HEALING ISN'T DEPENDENT ON GOD? This woman got a MIRACULOUS healing in a split second and Jesus didn't even KNOW IT!
@BludBaut All I ever said was that I believe demons resides in our soul and minds and not the spirit. What made you suddenly bring up this new topic. Send me a message, don't reply to this comments section.
@Siscast My response is appropriate here because my comments don't apply to only you but to all who do what you do. (Prov 3:5)
I brought up the other things because I want you to THINK (meditate) ON SCRIPTURE.
The Hebrew word for "meditate" includes verbalizing most of the times it's used. When we mediate (we should be doing it in faith, and if we are...), the Lord guides our thoughts and considerations of His Word, which is one reason why He said to abide in His Word (Jn 8:31-32).
I have had 2 experiences with this. And I agree somewhat in what John said. But you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And a ways is seen by Jesus and how some disciples couldn't cast out some demons in one instance. So everything that John says applies and also being filled with the Holy Spirit. Rebuke the demon in the name of Jesus Christ. Also in my two experiences God gave me and some other people the strenght and the words to say. Cause I used to be scare of these things.
Roger Morneau had an interesting teaching on this, He said you should remove any items from your possession that might be occult related, do not talk to the demon spirits, because that is like giving them invitation. Then pray for the holy spirit to rebuke the evil manifestation within you. But he was talking about a self help method.
I wish I could hear the story of the exorcism he was involved it, and how he deals with the demon attacks that happen on his church "all the time", as he says.
2 Timothy: (24) And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, (25) correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, (26) and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. (ESV)
Are there any resources for pastors dealing with high levels of demonic oppression? Maybe even a history of deliverances. Or how the church in the recent times has dealt with it. Ephesians 6 yes. 2 Timothy 2 absolutely. But it would be encouraging to hear the history of God's deliverance as he has delivered some in the local area around me. I am music minister and have seen a great number of young girls and boys under possession.
@henry142003 Mark Driscoll has a few lectures online called "Spiritual Warfare" where he talks about his experiences facing the demonic where he also lists briefly how he does his exorcisms which you may find helpful.
There is also a book that he recommended that I'm partially through called 3 Crucial Questions on Spiritual Warfare which is pretty good.
IMHO though humility and prayer are the two most powerful tools to face Satan.
@803brando. Can you prove that there is no God? You can't! The majority of the world believe there is a God. Atheists are in the minority and shrinking..
@booksandvideos not believing in the tooth fairy is the same as not believing in a god. Nothing irrational about it, in FACT its the most rational conclusion. If someone cannot provide a god in person in front of my face, it doesnt exist. The burden of proof is on you theists. always has been, and always will be.
Sorry to but in to the conversation guys but I had too. I respectfully disagree. I'm not meaning to come across as insulting or deeming, If I do. I apologist. I honestly think its irrational, and honestly extremely arrogant to say it is a "FACT" there is no God based on the fact that you can't see Him face to face. There are plenty of things we can't see but know they exist. like atoms. Only the truth claims of Christianity stand up to History, Science and philosophy. Other religions don't
@Jshackett sorry to shut you down, we can see atoms with electron microscopes. you "had to butt in" because you saw a strawman setup, this does not make you intelligent. I can refer some images of atoms if you have never seen one, or video from UC Berkley . When you can show me a god in person then i will believe it. The christian religion was against science, history shows this, kepler, Galilei, etc.
@Jshackett cont. if god is invisible, like atoms(they arent), then we would have seen him/her/it in an electron microscope. skepticism is the most rational position. Faith is the most irrational position. I know it hurts your feelings to know this but, thats reality.
@803brando Based on what History? Early historians were clear that Jesus of Nazareth walked on the planet, and preformed Miracles. Scientifically, The earliest scientists were Christians. In regards to creation, the only other alternative is Darwinian evolution, which is mathematically impossible, and violates the second law of thermodynamics. The micro organs in cells are more complex than the cells themselves. Other than intelligent design there is no explanation

Matthew 17:21 "But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." that can be another thing stopping us. spirit filled, faith, pray and fast, cast out in jesus name
sonsbrightlight 2 days ago
@sonsbrightlight Well I don't really like the idea of exorcism's in the church. Maybe for the pastor occasionally but if a demon is cast out then 7 more will be waiting to re-enter so preaching of the gospel has got to be key.

Envergure 3 months ago
@Envergure It's your deception that the devil has changed his strategy and it's the bad teaching you've received that provokes you to use wrongly the term, "possessing" people. Had your teachers had more honesty and more skill with the Scriptures, they would have told you that "possession" is largely a KJV error, however, a little effort on your part could have taught you also. Don't swallow the teachings of men. Learn to use an Interlinear and concordance and faith to learn truth.

Mark 16 isn't obtuse.

christians believe the devil is not a god. It would be "miraculous" for the devil to know each of us not to mention, for the devil to tempt us or demonically "control" us. it would have been much more believable if God and the Devil were "in the begining," instead of just God.
clouisphotography 8 months ago
@clouisphotography What you appear to fail to understand is that "the devil" and "satan" and all other references to him are terms that don't strictly mean satan alone. It encompasses all who are under his authority.
Similarly, when we say, "God did that for me," we're not misspeaking just because God might have sent an angel to do the work.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut No one is under a "devils" authority. There is not one act in all of history that attributed to any devil.

In the Lord's Prayer in the message is the phrase: as a bove so below, which is a well known occult phrase and basically comes down to pantheism.
this is antithetical to what Jesus said about himself:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me

it never ceases to amaze of how atheists flock to christian videos if they dont believe in God suppodsedly..r they tryna convert us to atheism? i wish they would realize how the devil is using them for that purpose
patriciacarrasco 1 year ago 23
@patriciacarrasco argumentation lies in the bosom of fools. the Bible says that those who say there is no God are fools. atheists love arguing. the truth shall make you free, but first it shall make you angry. we can't change people, only God can do that...our job is to obey God and let his love flow through us constantly.
A fool's displeasure is quickly known; a wise man keeps cool and ignores insults.

TheBoxingCannabyte 5 months ago
@patriciacarrasco Assume there's no such thing as the devil - just for a moment - (if you can get your head round that!)
Then think, why else would an atheist try to convert you?
Might it be because religion is the most retrogressive, dangerous influence in the world today, with its inherent immorality, and its apocalyptic world view? - And so they want to save us from that morass of danger? Might it be that?
Just asking.
Peace on earth.
StrumstickJoe 5 months ago
@StrumstickJoe Atheism is more dangerous. It tells people that there's no point to life and no point to having morals making it easier for people to commit suicide
gilbert4321 3 months ago

StrumstickJoe 5 months ago
@StrumstickJoe actually, you can't serve anyone's time bro.. the justice system doesn't work like that.
greylight 4 months ago

Jerseygirl8999 1 year ago
@Jerseygirl8999
Actually, I know a man who is VERY Christian and walks with God, and he met a demon-possessed Christian. He's actually cast out devils in Jesus' Name quite a few times.
8CaptainHowdy 10 months ago
@Jerseygirl8999 I agree, can't be completely possessed, but if we listen to demons and fall to temptation/sin, what's the difference? Jesus gave life to our spirit by Holy Spirit, but we need to renew our minds according to God's words and sanctify/keep our bodies pure. I believe demons can dwell in a Christian's body or mind, but not the spirit. We need to take every thought captive, & keep our bodies pure. Holy spirit abides in our spirit, we need to surrender our minds and body as well.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast Not trying to be ugly but "I believe demons can dwell in a Christian's body or mind, but not the spirit." is something you heard from men and not the Bible.
However, rather than disputing you, would you like to tell us which part of "you" is the part where the demon is? I suppose to answer that, you'd first have to determine which part of "you" is where your spirit is.
I think that if you think about this for awhile, you'll dismiss your own answer, pray and ask God for understanding.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut The Bible talks about the Body, Soul, and Spirit, and I know it is a point of dissension. My stance and experience is that these are three and distinct. And I've seen too many Christians demon "possessed" to deny it. Like I said, we are three parts, Body, Soul and Spirit. God gave life to my spirit, where the Holy Spirit dwells, and where I am sealed. My Body (flesh) and Soul (mind) is in daily renewing and sanctification. My flesh invites sin, and sin opens the door to demons.
Siscast 6 months ago
@BludBaut I know it's not very popular and the Baptist/Evangelical Churches in America tends to dismiss this, but try spending some time listening to deliverance ministers or programs. Demon oppression of Christians are absolutely real and you really can't deny it after seeing it so many times. Even generational curses oppress Christians. We have the victory in Christ, but it is said, God's people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, and we need to claim the victory and keep ourselves pure
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast I've listened to deliverance ministers for almost forty years. Nothing I said suggested I have a problem with deliverance. You've not paid attention to what I said.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast BTW, just to show how we come up with carnal answers, the Bible doesn't say your spirit is where the Holy Spirit abides. 1Cor6:13-15 says the body is not for fornication but for the Lord and the Lord for the body and your members are members of Christ. On the other hand, the Word also says "he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit and that word means "to glue or fasten." Your reasoning doesn't seem to give you space for demons. Maybe they're spirits and their place is in the heart.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut I don't understand how any of those verses contradict what I said. Doesn't the Corinthians verse agree that we need to keep our Body pure and not use it for sin? And what about the second verse? Doesn't that agree that demons cannot dwell in our spirits? What point are you trying to make?
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast "I don't understand how any of those verses contradict what I said."
I understand. That's because you've been brainwashed and are sure you're correct regardless of what the Bible says. It's very easy to read the Bible the way you want to see it and then say, "I believe the Bible" while rejecting MUCH that it says. That's the problem with having a wicked heart. We do LOTS of pretending.
I say again. You DID NOT understand what I wrote. First, because you read over it so quickly
cont.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut lol. Okay thanks for pointing out I've been brainwashed. Please un brainwash me. Actually, I'm even confused on what you think I'm brainwashed about. Can you clarify what I am brainwashed about? Is it regarding that Christians can have demons?
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast cont2 when you saw familiar Scriptures, you did what all Christians do -- you dismissed them with, "I already know that" without hearing what they were saying. Consequently, by the time you got through reading everything I said, you were confused and couldn't figure out why I wrote.
I wrote because you DON'T understand what you're so sure you DO understand, AND you're not going to understand it until YOU WASH OUT YOUR WRONG IDEAS with the truth of Scripture AND THAT'S NOT EASY to do.
BludBaut 6 months ago
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut Thanks, u finally made ur point and pointed out ur disagreement. Doesn't the bible say that when we are saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the comforter will dwell with us forever? Is it possible for demon to dwell in the same area as Holy Spirit? The bible says where light is, darkness cannot dwell. The bible also makes distinction of body, soul and spirit. Hence, I said that the demons can't dwell in our spirits, but rather the body or the soul. U can disagree if u want
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast "Doesn't the bible say that when we are saved we are sealed with the Holy Spirit"
No, it doesn't say that.
Your thinking isn't spiritual. I'm not saying that to insult you, but as I intimated in my last remark, you don't ponder and consider nearly enough on the Word of God and you therefore have very natural perspectives because God's Spirit hasn't given you much revelation. Your need isn't "explanation" but meditation and faith towards God for insight, understanding and revelation.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast "The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical."
I already addressed this and you neglected thoughtful consideration of it. If Jesus, or the Spirit (light) dwells in you and "where light is, darkness cannot dwell," then why did Jesus say "out of the heart proceed ... the things that defile the man"?
How does evil proceed out from "where light is" (Matt 15:18)?
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast The Scriptures plainly teach, "the natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirit of God." Having a demon in your mind or body or spirit MAY, IN YOUR OPINION, be a "spiritual" concept, but it's not. It's a religious concept and you've never bothered to see if you can justify it with Scripture. NO SCRIPTURE SAYS that spirits either do or do not "dwell" in our spirits, so why do you insist on saying it? Because of your reasoning.
cont 001
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast cont 002
Or the size of your body?
cont 002
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast cont 003
My words were attempting to provoke you to think, but you did the "I know that" and started examining my motive
cont 003
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut It definitely is NOT a doctrinal issue. I don't care if you think demon's can't dwell in Christians or not. You are my brother in Christ and we are all one body and I love u no matter what. We can disagree about the matter of where a demon dwells and I'm OK with that. I gave u my line of reasoning, and u made ur point. I probably shouldn't have grouped u with people who deny demons are real or can oppress Christians but u were very vague, so forgive me.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast I didn't hold it against you. :-)
Re: "No, it doesn't say that."
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast I think that before you address either the time which the H.S. enters us or the issue of evil coming forth from where light is, that you should do your due diligence in the Word of God. I shouldn't be doing your homework for you. That doesn't help you "hide the Word in your heart."
I've spent many hours examining these things in the Word and marveling at the deceit and lies commonly promoted by preachers parroting one another. The Word of God is sure but preachers misrepresent it.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast cont 004

I hope that helps.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast Now, before you dismiss that, consider Jesus' words that the things that defile the man come from within, out of the heart (Mk 7:21). Now, what are you going to do with that and a born again man? Do born again men still have evil? if so, it's coming from their hearts. So how can Jesus "dwell in your heart by faith" and evil come out of there? Does carnal reasoning help here? Carnal reasoning NEVER HELPS but it looks like more Bible meditation and prayer is needed..
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut I see a backhanded tone of condescension here. Every response, you've been quite condescending to me and quite sure of yourself, even when your verses didn't contradict anything I said.
I still struggle with evil. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. That is why if I don't pray or dwell IN Christ, I can easily fall into sin like a dog going back to his vomit. I don't know about you but I admit that I still fall. My heart, my mind and my flesh tempts me with sinful desires....
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast The condescension was in the Scriptures that exposed your wrong paradigm and contradicted you. Yet, instead of meditating on the Scriptures I gave you and recognizing the doctrinal issues you have with your wrong paradigm, you want to "help" me understand. Friend, it's you who doesn't understand and the Scriptures I gave you will show you that, IF you'll pay enough attention to them.
Of course Christians have demons. They can have anything they want. ;-)
Pray, read again and meditate.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut Maybe ur just being incredibly vague just throwing scriptures at me and expecting me to follow ur line of thought. I looked at those scriptures and nothing contradicted anything I have been saying. In fact, you haven't' been addressing anything I said in response to you. Since you are above carnal reasoning, please teach me and show me exactly what u are trying to say. Ur so adamant about making some kind of point and its obviously ur disagreeing with me on something. Teach me.
Siscast 6 months ago
@BludBaut What do you think dying to ourselves and putting our flesh to the death mean? Everyday, I need to die more to my self, my own desires, the desires of my flesh, and live and dwell in Christ, in holiness, in purity, in righteousness. Sanctification and renewing of the mind is a process. Everyone has demons in them, even Christians. Repent and cast them out in Jesus name. Then keep urself pure and keep the demons out. Then it is the process of putting my flesh, my self to death.
Siscast 6 months ago
@BludBaut I don't know why you would disagree with anything I said, unless you are for a reason so sure that Christians can't be demon possessed or oppressed. If you have your mind made up about this, arguing about this will be a waste of time and not encouraging to you or me. I can't deny it, so all I can say is check out deliverance sessions of Win Worley, or listen to Omegaman radio, or check out fotm1 on youtube. There are many brothers out there who are engaged in daily spiritual warfare
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast Because I came so far from where you are, for clarification, in my first message, to, "you'd first have to determine which part of "you" is where your spirit is," let me add, "so you'll know where the demon can't be."
Now, I eventually showed you that thinking isn't Biblically correct.
Also let me add the reference of Eph 3:17 for "that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith."
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut Quite honestly, I don't know you and you don't know me, so I'm not sure why you would even say something like that.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical. But most Christians can still sin and are still oppressed by demons. Fear, sickness, anger, addictions, etc. This is undeniable. Therefore, I can agree with the Bible that body, soul and spirit are separate.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast If you want to keep arguing, go ahead and send me a message instead. It is really hard to keep responding in shorts, and not have all my comments pointed out.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast Arguing? I was never arguing. I was, as I've already stated plainly, trying to provoke you to think "outside your paradigms" which are somewhat faulty. This error affects US ALL. Our carnality makes us resist admitting we err. I hope by now, you're not still having that struggle with what I've said. If you are, I encourage you to pray in tongues a lot and ask God to help you see and understand and change, since that's the process we began at birth and seem to always continue to need.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast "The Holy Spirit dwells in us when we are saved. Where light is, darkness cannot dwell. This is Biblical."
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast Let me give you TWO very simple yet extremely practical words of advice. 1) DON'T PARROT ANYONE.
If you can't find "two or three Scriptures" that PLAINLY STATE something, then WHY would you feel compelled, or EVEN WANT to say it???
2) If you don't have "two or three" Scriptures, QUESTION YOURSELF AND YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE, and pray and ask God to increase your wisdom and understanding.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut I'm positive I've been influenced in my thinking regarding this from other brothers who are far more Godly than me. But I didn't believe it blindly because of man, but because it made sense to me in light of scripture and reason as well as experience. I just want to point out though, where in a Christian a demon can dwell is not a doctrinal issue. However, I think I can say what I believe through scripture as same as u have, without it being doctrinal.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast "because it made sense to me"
That's exactly what I said.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut You missed the part "in light of scripture and reason as well as experience".
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast I didn't miss it. It simply wasn't important. It was a rationalization.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut Thanks for your advice. Maybe one day, I will have wisdom regarding why my reasoning based on this scripture is wrong, and not dismiss it simply as "rationalization" and not "insert wrappings of carnal reasoning (??)". Pray for me :)
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast It won't happen "one day." God loves to play "hide and seek." It should be obvious that He's been hiding for a long time. How long have you been seeking? How much time do you spend meditating on Scripture? What do you do when you discover the multitude of paradoxes and dichotomies in the Word? Or have you even noticed they're everywhere? God puts those those things there for the reason I said in my 2nd sentence. You'll get answers *after* you exercise faith for them (Mk 11:24).
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut My response was abit tongue in cheek. Except the part where you can pray for me.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast I can pray for you, but you'd find much better and faster success by following my advice. God is not a manipulator. He delights in the one who seeks Him. Most people's opinions of God never came from God at all -- they're just assumptions. Every aspect of creation and even the forms of men all testify to the hidden things of the spirit realm. While the Bible is the Word of Truth, the greatest help to understanding the things of God is the natural realm and its detail is endless.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast And it's really easy to hear God. All you need to do is believe what you pray when you pray. From the time you choose to believe to the time the answer comes, satan will bring doubt to you and all you have to do is refuse doubt and unbelief and HOLD FAST to what you believed WHEN YOU PRAYED.
I trust you recognize that though this is plainly written in Scripture, (Mk 11:23-24) you'd be hard pressed to find 5% of your favorite preachers who preach it.
What's wrong with this picture?
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut 2) ..then pray: Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name we pray that you cure them all, Amen.
Let me know if it works
StrumstickJoe 6 months ago
@StrumstickJoe If you'd meet the Lord and believe His Word, then you'd have better sense than to think such stupid praying will work.
Try reading the Bible and believing IT rather than whatever stupidity provoked you to pray so ignorantly.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@BludBaut No no no!
I thought you'd get it!
StrumstickJoe 6 months ago
@BludBaut 1) OK Bludbaut, let’s go for it! No tongue in cheek here, and I hope satan doesn’t bring doubt into this, cos it’s important!… Read:

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” then pray…

@StrumstickJoe Scoffing fools like you don't believe, though. That's the problem. Mockers follow their lusts according to the Bible.
BludBaut 6 months ago
BludBaut 6 months ago
@StrumstickJoe Of course, all I gave you was the Word of God. I cannot give you the sense to understand it. God, unfortunately, has kept that from you.(2Tim 2:25)
You might considering humbling your hard arrogant heart that would presume to take His name in vain as you did here and repent, though I won't be holding my breath. Any fool stupid enough to mock God and His Word as you did isn't likely to turn in a day.
BTW, I deal with the sincerely stupid better than the mocker of my God's Word.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast My point has been from the very first, that you should get your ideas PRIMARILY, not from men, but from God.
John 8:31-32 is too clear to misunderstand in the NASB. Where the KJV says "continue," the NASB, correctly translates the word "abide." It could also be translated "stay," "dwell," "live."
The point being, when you start living in the Word, the Word will adjust your perspectives and the "sense" you'll start getting will be God's and not men's.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast If Jesus freely gives and righteousness is a gift, then you should see that your ability to hear God isn't dependent on your "godliness" but on your faith. The woman with the demonized daughter was a Gentile, without a covenant with God and completely in sins, yet she received from Jesus what she needed AND PRAISE from Him also. Mediating on the Word of God will give you more than the greatest influence from the godliest men. We have a BETTER COVENANT than one based on men's godliness.
BludBaut 6 months ago
@Siscast Let me point out something else to you regarding the lies unbelieving believers tell about healing. They like to say, "It's up to God," no? So why, when the woman with the issue of blood received a miraculous healing, did Jesus say, "Who touched me?" and why didn't you ALREADY understand that that is the WORD OF GOD TESTIFYING THAT HEALING ISN'T DEPENDENT ON GOD? This woman got a MIRACULOUS healing in a split second and Jesus didn't even KNOW IT!
Why didn't you see this before?

@BludBaut All I ever said was that I believe demons resides in our soul and minds and not the spirit. What made you suddenly bring up this new topic. Send me a message, don't reply to this comments section.
Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast My response is appropriate here because my comments don't apply to only you but to all who do what you do. (Prov 3:5)
I brought up the other things because I want you to THINK (meditate) ON SCRIPTURE.
The Hebrew word for "meditate" includes verbalizing most of the times it's used. When we mediate (we should be doing it in faith, and if we are...), the Lord guides our thoughts and considerations of His Word, which is one reason why He said to abide in His Word (Jn 8:31-32).
BludBaut 6 months ago

Atheists are in the minority and shrinking..

god does not exist, just face it. Be brave and face life on your own, dont be a pussy.

@803brando Arbitrariness isn't very persuasive nor rational, dude.
