From what I can tell you made more than those mistakes. You obviously weren't leaning at all. At your speed (which looked like around 25 mph) you could have EASILY made that turn...if you woulda leaned... Ridden the road hundreds of times..
@corkyg2 I was behind a guy who had ridden it twice, he was going maybe 25 mph but the double apex got him. He was being cautious but still ate it. Maybe he is just a bad rider who knows.

Similar Incident on this road past Sunday...however came in too fast ..ended up going wide..and "you go where you look" and I was looking at the dirt at the edge and low slided haha...Learning experience! ;)
Damn that sucks, Just moved here out of state from Minnesota and im hitting all these turns way faster then these guys in the video no offense. But honesty i witnessed someone crash in the same exact spot today. But he didnt hit and mud lmfao shit must have sucked.
I've been riding and driving on redwood for years and that is one of the most dangerous parts because you simply don't expect it, even in plain sight, the slight decreasing radius doesn't look nearly as dangerous as it really is.
that corner's a bitch, it tightens up as you go towards the end of it. i have only done redwood for a month or so and i quickly learned that lol. theres a lot of crap in that ditch
sorry i typed over, need two comment box..but yea..The wet dirt saved my ass, I crashed at around 50mph..i landed on wet mud from the rain we had in Feburary..I should have gotten hurt badly the way I highsided. The people who maintain redwood rd told me that specific turn we crashed in gets everyone..glad your ok. Live and ride another day bro. Hope to see you there this season. Be Safe
Do you see the white fairing? That's mine..i crash my RR there 2 months ago. Yes rider error always exist, however, that turn also retain a lot of risk factors for rider..#1 is that I thought the turn was over and I reduced my lean, and #2 its a blind corner.
Think maybe you momentarily froze when you came up on the rider in front of you in mid corner and prevented you from tightening up the line. Even if you tightened up, it looked like you could of possibly rear ended the guy in front of you. No criticism, just personal analysis.

Yeah I made the same mistake. I remember looking at the mud puddle. Lol hey hope you and your bike weren't damaged to badly.
