The speaker who starts talking from the 4th minute mentions that the war on drugs was started by Nixon. He omits to mention that Nixon had mandated a scientific study on the effects of Marijuana which he intended to support his conservative discourse on the matter. As the study revealed that MJ was benign, Nixon ditched the study and made up lies (false study results) which served to put people in jail. A president lying to the people is the basis of the war on drugs.
