  • You need to do this 1080p Paul.

    Brilliant though.

"Now just send an envelope, with your name & address to: Blue Peter, CBBC, BBC Wood Lane London.

You need to get permission from an Adult first, then if your a lucky boy we will send you out a Blue Peter Badge in the post!"

  • fingers very fast, my computer couldnt keep up.

  • Are you doing this by ear or do you have the music?

  • Would LOVE to know how to be able to play this! I have no idea how to play the piano but I only want to learn this :L

  • You're like the fecking Stig of the piano world, hats off to serious talent.

P.S Not that the Stig is particularly talented, just fairly publicly shaded....

  • @bigbeef30 Thank you. I think I remember in 'Flat Out' a picture of Perry McCarthy playing piano.

  • Your really good :)

  • Mike Oldfield would be proud.

  • I can't listen to the beginning of this without thinking of the ending on Castle Crashers xD

  • This is the real theme, not the crap new one.

  • I think you should write into Blue Peter or post them a copy of this video & see if you get a Blue Peter Badge (LOL)

  • i always wondered what this song was becuz the 6 second intro thingy

  • 6th vote for tutorial :)

  • yeah , definitly a tutorial please :D

  • @jacobdean97 votes = 5

  • Possibly the best tune in the world?

  • "he recorded the keyboard part at half speed and I remember thinking 'you wimp'."

Well, when it was sped up, it sounded considerably smoother than this.

  • Beautifully played. This was spot on!

  • yeah a tutorial would be great if you can be bothered

also are you familar with the crystal maze theme tune? ive done a reasonable piano arrangement but i feel you perhaps could do it better

  • LOL

  • video tutorial please :D!

  • Give this man a gold badge!

  • ...

    in one word: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    HOLY SH*T

How did you EVER learned it to play it SO INCREDIBLY fast and still SO good???

perhaps you've seen the making of from this theme and as you maybe have noticed... ( mike couldn't play so fast) he needed to speed it up. SO...REALLY great job thumbs up ;)

  • You need a faster speed camera paul to catch those nifty digits....Spot on!

  • Thanks dilwich123 - it does zip along this one

  • Please do a tutorial for this. I'd love to play it. :)

  • votes = 4

  • How many votes you after haha?

  • This is fantastic!

    How do you do that

    I am speechless

  • in fairness.. mike Oldfield recorded the Keyboard at half speed so that when it was sped up it would sound like a recorder not the clarinet voice he recorded it in :L LOL

  • And here's a competition result we made earlier.

  • YOU WICK MAN, tutorialPLZ

  • I want a blue peter badge :( Great playing

Do u think u can make a tut!

  • good

  • Paul, I came back for more... haha. I love your splits!!! cheers!

  • Excellent stuff, Paul! Someone has posted Mike Oldfield recording his version at half speed on YT - it's v=f4K6_8_Q0PQ

  • Northernanorak - thank you very much for bringing this to my attention; I've just enjoyed watching this classic piece of children's TV.

  • which version is this? the orgininal or the mike oldfield version?

  • There is a video showing all the different versions and there have been quite a few. The original and some orchestral twiddles in the gaps in phrases of the main tune. I would say this is different from Mike Oldfield's version - he chops between the chords, I was thinking more of the version before that.

  • sooo good!

  • Haha! That put a smile on my face :)

  • Here's a piano video you recorded earlier ; )

  • Please can you do a tutorial or post the sheet music on Youtube!!!

Please help me be the kind of person I always admire and respect. And I want to lose some weight this year. Please help me God.

  • Much fun to hear and play.

Funny I recall having the same thought about Oldfield, ah! ah!
