Everyone knows the Steelers cut players once they peak, esp. at LB, but they just signed him. They uncharacteristically gave him a 5-year extension for 18.2 million that had a $5 million signing bonus because he's valuable in their eyes even though he turns 34 in January!
Here's why: he's only missed FOUR games out of the last 100 regular season games, starting in all of those. He actually had his highest sack total of his entire 12-year career last year. He is our defenive captain as well.
The most underrated linebacker in the NFL by far!! he gets overshadowed by his teammates but every buddy forgets that he QB's a Defense that's one of the top in the NFL every year and leads them in tackles every year..Thank you James for being the humble guy you are and thank god for your new contract!!

He's a very excellent under rated player, alot of Pittsburgh players are under rated but are better than your hyped up non-super bowl ring havin media jockers. We're a smash mouth city and Pittsburgh brings in and produces Hall of Famers....so we don't need national media coverage on our players for them to perform better than media jocked bums
You are exactly right. Heath Miller has more career recieving TDs then Kellen Winslow yet Heath doesn't even get pro bowl consideration. Maybe if Heath made a couple of cheaps shots then yelled how he was a "fucking soldier" for 10 minutes he would get considered. But Heath has a ring and Winslow doesn't. Others like Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, and maybe even a little bit Santion Holmes are underrated becuase they don't show boat.
Farrior is a great Steeler who will unfortunately always be underrated, except by Steeler fans. He's is the Stoic captain who loves Pittsburgh and will always be remembered fondly by the Steeler's Organization
