  • Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you...

  • Your messing with the wrong guy!!!

  • I personally believe God cuts comedians some slack when they die and reach the pearly gates. After all they brought a lot of joy to people's lives. That's got to count for something, right? RIP John Candy and John Hughes!

  • @SFDoucette I feel the same about porn actors.

  • rip john candy

  • Thanks so much for making this.... One of my all time faves for Thanksgiving . They don't makes movies or music like this anymore... *sigh*

  • The creativity and realism of the emotional and stress related to travel is so apparent in this film!

I love this movie! Always will. Top 5 Comedies of ALL time.

  • John Candy, Kevin Bacon, two of my favorites. and this song. TOP NOTCH

  • can u imagine what John Candy would have done??? I love everything he did...but what a waste.Gone way to soon.

  • is the woman on the airport check in desk on 2.05 the same woman who was the neighbour in uncle buck, the one who looks through the crack in the door when buck is trying to open the washing machine ??

  • @dobbylad18

    If it's the marathon Lady (Your F**ked) It's "She's having a baby & Ferris Bueler's"

  • @dobbylad18 - yes and also the same woman who played the school secretary in Ferris Buellers day off.

  • ♥♥♥CLASSIC

  • 1:05 "I knew I knew you" lol

  • @TheAudioMystic I FEEL LIKE A BIG WHOPPER! LMAO

  • Without the dialog, this is lame and useless.

  • Well done. One of my all time favorite comedies. A must see. R.I.P. John Candy.

  • The perfect thanksgiving movie for everyone who's every been stuck in some kind of holiday traffic jam. We watch it every year to end or feasting. XD

  • One of only three movies that ever made me cry. amazing movie.

  • Sad thing is that they had a squel planned Candy and Martin already signed on they had to go back to New York to pick up Candys sister played by Rosie O donnell who has to bring her husband Joe Pesci back with her and of course Candy and Martin dont know is Pesci is wanted by the Mob who is of course after them and it sets up funny scenes of Planes, Trains again it was going to be called " Here we go again" or PT&A2 sadly canned because of Johns death

  • @OEKCVB Did not know that. Too bad, I would have liked to seen it.

  • @etks1957 Me also i was lucky enough to see a rough draft of the movie they were going to travel through DC and meet the president and of course things would go wrong they had them driving an animal truck and the dogs attackin martin in one scene, it look real funny and i heard Eugene Levy Candys best pal was going to play a hitchhiker bum through out the movie to add some laughs and a Robert di niro cameo for Pesci lol sad would have liked to see it

  • never much cared for jc on sctv. he was great in movies, though

  • Nicley done

  • I love this movies SO MUCH!!! I have seen it almost yearly. There is no one on the planet that knows how to shoot comedy likeJohn Hughes!! I hated John Candy for dying so young!!! I believed absolutely every moment of John Candy in this film and i did not see the "message" coming at the end of the film. A very honest and real human message. There are very few comedies that really make me bust a gut but this is one of them.

    A true classic!!

  • A legend! A movie that I watch every year, and it makes me laugh everytime.

  • greatest movie ever

  • @bogogolle Ever see some kind of wonderful? by hughes great 80's flick also

  • why is it that the greatest actors die so younge ?

  • He was probably the best actor in the world. I dont want to know haw many more movies you would of made. 30 years from naw people are still going to crack up. Rest in piece John. I will never forget you.

  • John Candy was the best! The day he died, my sister called from 1000 miles away and left a message on my machine that she and her entire family were in mourning for ``uncle buck`` That was a very sad day for us.

  • Thanks!! brought a grown man to tears and tears of Laughter again . Great movie and Great Actors!!

  • brahms909 - I couldn't agree more! It's great to hear 80's music coming back, tho' Candy is gone! <:( They go together somehow. Any medleys of "Uncle Buck" out there using, say, Ton Loc's version of "Wild Thing"?

  • you know you are watching a great movie when you cry and laugh into histerics throughout..

  • Nice montage. Nice choice of song. Nice memories. Anybody who says I overuse "nice" is not a nice person.

  • john candy was a legend, happy times watching his films when growing up r.i.p john

  • I love this film, the ending gets to me everytime. It just seems so sad that John Candy is no longer with us, he was a legend! x

  • gene and pryor

    steve and john

    laurel and hardy

walter and lemmon hollywood classic duo.

thank you guys for the moments!!

  • john,steve and huges.this is history

.thanks you guys for this movie!!!

  • GREAT MONTAGE! Thanks so much! You hit all the highs! Planes, Trains and Automobiles was the best comedy ever! I never get tired of this movie. Candy and Martin were the modern day Laurel and Hardy! What a shame we lost John Candy. I always hoped that he and Steve Martin would have done another movie together, maybe a sequel to Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

  • I love the song and the movie. I would have also included the clip where Steve finds John Candy at the train station all alone and finally finds out that John's wife is dead and that he's basically homeless wandering the country. Don't know if I'm getting too deep, but the movie always evoked a sense of melancholy and lonliness to me. Del Griffin strikes me as everyman -- a guy kicked around by life but who goes on anyway and, in his case, with a semblance of cheerfulness.

  • Thank you for posting I jerked a tear Steve & John are great

  • Love the montage. This is one of my favorite movies of all times. Like favs you can recite most lines along with characters in every scene and use lines among friends and everyone knows what you're referencing and can finish the scene w/ you. I must watch this movie every Thanksgiving and it still chokes me up just as this montage did.

Thanks John Candy and John Hughes. I knew I knew you. How about a hot dog and a beer?

  • you missed out the best bit. when he remembers who he is in the airport.

  • john hughes is legendary writter

we will not... be seeing any type of john hughes quality writting

    for many generation to come.

this guy was beyound master talent,,,,,,,,,,he was the king of writting

  • they will be watching this movie in 100 years, learning about us. Thanks John and Steve

  • Love this movie. I still miss John Candy and Del and the soundtrack from this movie is outstanding. When John left he definitely took a piece of me with him. God Bless you John, xxooxoxo

  • What a great comedy duo John & Steve made in this film. One of the great comedy classics of all time. Thanks for the nice tribute.

  • Wasn't that Kevin Bacon who Steve Martin was chasing for the taxi along with?

  • @StukInBuf it sure was ;-)

    great film

  • what is the song called in the movie at 4:13 ?

  • great work on this clip with great scenes & the great theme music! One of my favorite movies ever!

  • Thank u... :)

    Very fanny! i love it!

  • Una gran pelicula. Thank?s John!

  • the paul young version of the song was not the one used in the film.... it was done by a group called Blue Room. nice tribute to the film though.

  • Is the singer the Paul Young from Sad Café and Mike and the Mechanics? (there are two singers called Paul Young)

  • @SPeacock

nope that's not the same guy

  • Also, Steve Martin's wife near the end is beautiful!

  • The part where the rental car is sandwiched between the two semis and John Candy is in the devil suit cackling is freakin' hilarious! Also the trunk flying off of the top of the car...lmao!

  • Well you did an excellent job ! Thanks for putting in together, I laughed so much again, What a great roadmovie.A classic with these two wonderful funny guys !

    Thanks for posting!

  • I love this film because, although 90% of the time it`s pure hilarity, there are some moments that make you really emotional without being too syrupy or sappy. The ending is so sad because John Candy is no longer with us.

  • The best movie ever!

  • What a great film and fitting song, truly legendary God bless John Candy

  • Can I see your rental agreement?

    I threw it away

    Oh boy...

    Oh boy what?

    Your fucked!

  • I saw an interview with Steve Martin after this movie was released. They asked Steve about John Candy and he didn't seem all that enthusiastic about commenting about him. I thought that was a bit strange considering......

  • this film and uncle buck are 2 of the greatest films ever made, i never tire of watching them, john candy never got the credit he deserved when he was alive r.i.p. 'big fella'

  • Kevin Bacon is in this movie??

  • esta pelicula es buenisima

  • Thankyou, a beautiful video.

  • Candy & Martin had such a great chemistry, it's a shame they didn't do more together... great video! Thanks for making it...

  • arguably john hughes best film. And considering this is the guy that made 16 candles, ferris bueller, and breakfast club, that´s really saying a lot.

  • such a hilarious film, r.i.p john candy..

  • Best Movie Ever Made... Period

  • That's was wonderful. A smile here and there, a lump in the throat and a tear in the eye. A great compilation of one of my all time favorite films.

  • Was that seat hot or what? I feel like a Whopper. Turn me over, I'm done and ready. I'm afraid to look at my ass. There'll be grill marks

  • I think this video was very well done. I love this movie, enjoy it year around, and enjoy it when another person takes the time to make an enjoyable video like this. This is a great movie. You did a fine job. Thank you.

  • I hate asswipes who judge shit ..yet lack the talent to even know how to do the same thing...

    Thanks Silberman 78...

You have my 2 thumbs up here ....

  • Wow, that's an awful video. The music doesn't really go with pretty much all of the scenes. Back to class you go.

  • U suck jacko..... give the dude kudos for making the vid.... bet you lack the knowledge to even try lantofuck !!!

  • U still the babe Lori....

  • ".....not a one, however, the radio still works ..."

just like jack lemmon and walter mathew

  • candy and martin act so good together the chemestry is remarkable

I never saw a movie with such realistic story line

    it is gifted writting

  • The part at 1:29 when he realizes he is wiping his face with John Candy's undershorts is the best. The largeness of them makes it even funnier sort of like Shallow Hal where she tosses her panties and when Jack Black catches them they are as big as a tent.

  • john left us a treasure of great movies

we are all very lucky !!!

  • Oh dios esta es la mejor pelicula de todas :D

  • Delightful, funny, adorable guy. Died 15 yrs ago today, according to something I just read on u-tube. RIP

  • Thank you so much for having the vision to make this video! Memorable ending....:(

  • My best friend and I were crazy film fanatics back in high school. We actually shot a remake of this move, scene by scene, camera angle by angle, with myself as Neil and my buddy as Del.

The car rental scene was especially fun.

  • I thought the guy at 0:27 was bumped-off in Friday the 13th? lol

  • Got to be one of the 3 funniest movies of all time. They don't make anything this funny anymore. John Candy, we miss ya!
