The cat is out of the bag. They are now proposing allowing people down to the age of 55 receive Medicare. If this is allowed to happen then it will lead to national single payer health care. The reason is that even if the republicans take control of congress, there is no way that they will throw people off of Medicare. Every time the progressives take control they will lower the age until eventually everyone is covered. Rationing will be required, and guess who will be rationed, the elderly.
