  • Love me some Anita...I just love her jazzy voice

  • love me some anita

  • "Don't you let nobody tell you I don't love you!!" Ahhhh gotta love this one... ((Going out to GK))

  • 7 ppl who disliked this is on DRUGS!! lol :)

  • Anita came along when soul was still transforming and it was real soul.

    Anita did just that!!

    GOd head girl!

  • I went to see Anita Baker twice at the Lyric and at Bowie State and man was she awesome. That unique voice. And she is gracious. She mentors Mary J Blige. Patti mentors Mariah (is her god-mother) and Fantasia.

  • My most favorite Miss Anita song ever! Thank you!

  • Fantastic performance

  • Fantastic!

  • how could 7 people don't like her.she is brilliant singer,go ahead anita i love you so much, here in brazil have lot people loving you.

  • What a pleasure to hear Anita sing and watch her perform. She is sensual and sexy with an angelic voice. A top notch performer who takes pride in her craft. There are not many performers I'd pay to see but she is certainly one.

  • THIS SONG IS DEDICATED T O MY BABY MEL THANK YOU BABY FOR MAKING THIS HOUSE A HOME LOVE YOU FOREVER >NOW KEEP PLAYIN THAT MUSIC DADDY LOL>

  • Madame Baker is in a class of her own. what a masterful voice, just love her

  • Espetacular!!!!!!!!!!

  • Keep me holding on... Thats my JAM!

  • she is undoubably the best woman singer ever and the best voice

  • AMAZING PERFORMACE!

  • love her and the song, but the sound quality of this is dreadful

  • She is so amazing. Miraculous voice and phrasing!

  • I bought this back in the day as soon as it hit the shelves. There is liking Anita and being a real Anita Fan. My cousin and I went to one of her concerts in Greenville NC and we were Anita twins after that. Hair cuts style of dress the whole nine. She is still beautiful today.

  • This is authentic Black music. There's a lot of soul in her and the whole set. I hope someone in the younger generation could bring this back to the spot light, but I doubt it. If anyone knows an artist send me a link.

  • @u2hubbard While I see where you're going with this, this is authentic Rhythm & Blues. Not "black" music. We dominated (and still do) the genre, but the crowd is a whole lot more diverse than you think. I just think it's silly to categorize good music to a specific race.

  • @bassheadjazz03 Thank you!! I agree... it's not just black music anymore and people need to stop pigeon holing a musical genre. That's like saying classical music is only for white people?? NOO!! There are black, white , asian etc people who like to sing different genres of music. Especially in the south alot of black and white people grew up together listening to jazz/rnb/soul It's universal. Singers like Teena Marie, Jon B and Amy Winehouse have proven that already.

  • Nice video but,.......you need to fix the soundtrack or dump it,.....it sounds like crap.

  • Anita Baker. Classic Artist.. Her music just does something to you.. Her voice soothes you... There NOONE like her!

  • to pretty

  • is this from her live concert video from the 1980's?

  • To sing like Anita...

  • @imsuperjust i was about 13 years old when this album came out...i remember everyone talking about...it seemed the whole country was jamming to anita...

  • @imsuperjust they dont make it like they used to dude!

  • @imsuperjust And where do you live? I'm glad to hear a youngster got good music in there ear and know soul when they hear it.

  • Now that's a REAL LIVE PERFORMANCE there..

  • She was so underrated. Anita Baker rocks!

  • @sweetscapes I dont think an 8 time grammy winner can be considered underrated

  • Only 8? She is underrated in my book, meaning - by definition- not given enough recognition for the quality of her contribution to music.

  • Mikerosnigga porkyu you trippin in my book she sound good

  • music @ it's finest

  • She is one of the all time greats, IMHO. Quit playing at the height of her career to raise her children, or she would be far better known. In addition to her great singing, she' a great songwriter...her talent knows no bounds, And a beauty to boot. And how 'bout the band?? Funky, funky, funky. Totally in the slot. A timeless song, one of the best of the eighties and one of my personal faves. Thanks for posting it and thank you, Ms. Baker.

  • Wow I think I just fell in love with Anita Baker. I heard this song on the radio yesterday and all I can think about is Anita Baker. I keep going on Youtube to see her videos. She's a sweet heart in her interviews too. Wow what a voice. Her sense of timing is amazing too. I'm a drummer and I listen tho these things.

  • Well congrats 2 u joemusicman64! U sound like my 25 year old twin daughters, only they've been fans since they were in my womb!! When I was pregnant with them I would put on her (cassette & Video) tape along and some classical music just to get them to calm down....and they would! To this day they play her CD's or in the car &/or Living room!! ; )

Her rendition of "Santa Baby" is another one of her sultry songs too! Enjoy!

  • Wow!! Although the whole video is phenomenal, Ms. Baker shows her true talent from 2:43 on. She manages to sing from her heart, without showing off like so many singers do these days. I'm not impressed by the voice manipulations they do....no true emotion like Anita Baker has!!! She is so blessed with that voice. BRAVO!

  • SHE is greater than beyonce ciara and all the other new little artist get it anita she jammed on this song

  • I couldn't have written that any better, of course not to take away from their talents, Anita is just...more soulful, sultry, jazzy, smoother, u name it - and even better live! I loved her @ Radio City Music Hall! I remember everyone jumping up on their feet for each & every song! ~

  • definatly you said it even better i cant get over this song

  • Wonderful.

  • Wonderful.

  • O ne of my favourite jam

  • Can someone find a better voice??? I thought u cudnt. In an interview she once said she ofen sang to her boys when they were babies. I bet thier first words were...ooohhhhh aaahhhhhhhh!!!!!.Im in loooooveeee-sweeeeettt lllooove!!!!!!!

  • The most beautiful Alto ever in my eyes. I just love her music. So strong it comes on like a storm. A mid-summer rain. So much emotion. My friend Neice recently learned how to play this song on the bass and piano and I nearly went crazy after hearing her sing it!!! I've never heard it live. It was like being on drugs. I turned into a gay groupie. Lol

  • Back then they were bringin back the marilyn monroe look no slip and air blowin your skirt up type of thing...so thats the look she was goin for

  • Sounds rushed live...when the bassist starts popping and snapping at the beginning of the song, seems to set a hurried pace for th song. Dont get me wrong, its a GREAT song!..just sounds rushed a bit.

  • all that money and she cant buy a slip! great song though

  • lol

  • Anita makes you want to dance!

  • Ohhh yeppeee!!! Lol
