Read !! To get the first book u get given a illusion spell called vision of the tenth eye!! Use it and u may see the book thumbs so others can see :)

@mabDave you can level illusion by repeatedly casting muffle (illusion novice spell) it is the only spell that you lets you gain xp without being in combat... took me 30 mins to get to level 100

the spell that you need to use is on the magic menu with all the spells that you have listed, go to illusion, and there should be a spell named "Vision of the Tenth Eye" added, use that then you can see the books.

Yeah me too the third book is not there. The first book I did find on my own was in the midden. Question, does this tenth eye serve any other purpose? What I find interesting is that there are in real life ten eyes on our bodies! I studied the arcane with a real Shaman and he taught me many wonder things.

@MrJoey4823 Because the quest unlocks the Master Level Illusion spells, if you want the best ones you need to do this quest, he gives you 1 for free which is "Hysteria" but you have to buy the other 2 for around 2.5k-2.7k each.

@Forthemuja some books are in the same area, but a different spot. My book wasn't on any desk in the library, instead it was somewhere on the floor. Keep searching!

@iviko97 i had the same problem, turns out i moved the book by accident when it was invisible.  i used a fireball in that room early on in the game, and it blew the book into the corner apparently

@BaxterX7 yes i did, it was becouse of my stupidity, i used somekind of spell earlier in that room and book fell of the table, try looking under/behind the table or near it :) hope that helps.

@lusterTJ took me 20minutes to get 100 illusion... wasnt hard at all, just put Muffle in both hands and cast both hands seperately... and repeat 3-4 casts = 1 illusion level takes about 15-20minutes to get 100 illusion.

@DK988 well you have to make sure your using a one handed weapon if your using a greatsword you cant. But im on xbox i just go to the quick menu or reg menu and press RT for right hand lets say on my sword and then go to magic spell lets say flames then press LT
