Its not a quiet Q it an electronic Q2B or an EQ2B which is much quieter and a lot less effective as an actual Q. FDNY started using them since there is a ban on the actual Q, an no this truck does not have any type of Q.

Number 1 they pull the truck then get into it becasue they need to shut the door and they need to stop the traffic for the truck. Number 2 since when do they make quite fedrals and Q horns.

I think the other fire fighters have to bloc traffic, and pedestrians from getting run over. A lot of videos show people just walking around them, so I think it a protective thing.

If they're in a doorway, it rarely is serious. If he was on the floor or in the bathroom, that's usually a different story. Oddly enough, we do get more of these calls then you think.
