  • KLOS. Once a decent AOR station playing rock when it was new. Ya a little corporate but well run. Now a drone playing the same 400 songs over and over and over. Final blow was losing Rita Wilde, for reasons still unknown. She at least kept a few interesting things in the playlist, and offered up the great A to Z feature. The PD/Afternoon guy they imported from Long Island is awful. What ever happened to Gino Michellini? Loved the Joe Walsh Gino song!

  • Damn you KLOS! Stop playing Aerosmith, Guns N Roses every 10 minutes fucking minutes!

  • @wendileona Would you much rather listen to Jstin beiber or Hannah Montanna?

  • Way to go KLOS! A fantastic heritage to So Cal radio. I just wish tat WLS Chicago could have had the balls to say NO to talk radio. You are a tribute to the radio industry.

  • wow, someone agress with me haha!

  • Guys please stop playing all of that Green Day shit. Youre so much better without it.

  • Amen brother

  • I grew up about 4 miles south of KLOS on La Cienega Blvd -KLOS was next door to the See's Candy Factory -- Was Shadow Stevens on KLOS ?... Elliott Mintz did a Sunday night "celebrity talk show on KLOS ? yes NO ?---MAry "TACOS" The Burner TURNER was KLOS answer to MISS OUTRAGEOUS NEVADA (KPPC) -

essencially KLOS was born from the rise of popular FM underground radio rock format - it's major Los Angeles competition was KMET FM 94.7 on Wilshire Blved - with B. Mitchell Reed - the supreme BEEM

  • The call-letter switch from KABC-FM to KLOS happened in May 1971. Does anyone else recall morning personality Joseph Cleary? I spoke with Marshall Phillips a few years ago and he barely remembered.

  • Where's "The FRAZE"??? And Bob Zany!! Too hip gotta go!!!! Wasn't Mary "The Burner" Turner around too? With Paraquat Kelley!!! The Fish Report (whoops, might have been the Mighty Met)

  • Frazier Smith- Too Hip.

  • I listened to KLOS 30+yrs. All I can say is there musical tastes are lost. They play the same 50 artists of the same style. They where a great channel from the early 70s to late 80's. after that, they have had one identity crisis after another. Currently they are one big politically correct liberal radio channel that is afraid to move on. They have no new dj's !

  • YOU WERE RAISED ON ROCK AND ROLL...95 and a half ... KLOS

  • Paraquat??

  • WOW!!! Kinda like they missed most of the 70's On Air Talent that helped make them famous...No JJ Jackson?? Damien, or Laura Davis to name a few...Come On...You can do better than this!!

  • What? No Frazier Smith? Wasn't he one of their earlier morning D.J.s?

  • He sure as hell was!!

  • hey, take the history out of the title. nice pimp for current klos. shitty retro for the real klos back in the day.

jlos from back in that day

.....bummed how did not give more props to jj jackson. selective history, eh?

  • KLOS I have been dedicated to you for a long time but there is only so many times you can listen to the same song over and over. Please listen to 93.7 in the Palm desert area (Which used to broadcast Mark and Brian) and check out their format. They play the classics but also include the new rock. There are still a lot of new rockers out there and people want to hear them. Rita please listen. Thanks.
