  • I've seen Old Crow fly at several air shows I have attended. What a nice plane. This pilot made it look so easy.

  • i would have love to have been on the ground when them planes were fighting the german tanks and anti aircraft rounds

  • How much to ride in one of those? It really sounds sick, what a machine!!

  • The jet aircraft waiting on the taxiway for you probably each had a flight crew wishing they were in your seat. Thanks for the ride!

  • Every pilots dream machine. Even guys flying the F-22 love the Mustang! SWEET!

  • cool video.. would love to ride in one of those...

  • Just curious. Most all of the P-51's I've seen land, performed a "wheel landing"; I noticed your landing was a "3 pointer"...are most all of your landings, in the 51, three pointers? Great video. Thanks.

  • Folks, if you would look out the left side of the aircraft you'll see a P-51 Mustang on final approach...!

  • Nice one. I had a ride on exactly this P-51 of the Scandinavian Historc Flight several years ago during an Air Show in Eastern Germany. Great experiance! My Capt. was my old mate Joe Plaza, he's now on 109...

  • hot damn! i would do anything for that beautiful warbird

  • Thanks for the video. This was a righteous cockpit view and the sound/audio helped to give an idea of just how loud the Mustang was for combat pilots during WWII - especially on long range missions. If you think this 7 minute video wore your ears out, just contemplate what flying a real multi-hour long mission in war-time must have sounded like.

In my book, the P-51 will always be my choice for the best Air Superiority Fighter ever designed. Bare none.

  • awsome.....this btw, sounds really good on my logitects with THX.

  • I love the way the rain rolls up the canopy. lol awesome vid. Is that Mustang a local of Norway?

  • this is the same cockpit like from WW2 or that's some modern electronic system ?

  • The cocpit is modern and was put in when the Mustang was restored in the early eighties. Warbirds restored in the eighties typically have a modern cockpit and this one even have autopilot.

  • @fredrian76 ooooohh what a beautiful figther plane..... i wish some one takes me for a ride in one of those some day.....

  • Brilliant! Lost for words! Thanks for posting.

  • NEARLY POOPED MY SELF WHEN THE VID CAME ON boy the volumes loud good vid!

  • Sounds just like a muscle car at the end. Nice vid.

  • cool! cool! cool! cool! cool!

  • Great video! Im a newbie to airplane controls, what was the pilot adjusting at 33 seconds? Thanks :-)

  • It is more than 2 years since I made this flight, but I assume Andy get the QNH from Oslo Approach on the radio and then set the right preassure into the altimeter.

  • He was adjusting he altimeter to the altitude of the field he was about to land on.

  • The pilot was adjusting the altimeter. Because air pressure varies at different locations, planes must set the altimeter appropriately.

  • To fredrian 76.

I watched your video with a quality set of headphones turned up LOUD!.

Were I strapped into a half-way realistic 'seat', with the appropriate smells wafting by me, the illusion would have been complete!.

    Well done indeed.

I used to ride in the front of R.A.A.F. Lockheed Neptune's, out of Townsville and Darwin, Australia, in the nose of course!. At 30-50FT over the ocean, 'buzzing' illegal fishing boats, we would scare the crap out of them!.

    Top stuff!.

  • P Q P , NICE, GREAT, WONDERFUL

  • Wish the weather was clearer, but can't help that. Great video, always wanted to see the cockpit of one of these in flight.

    -Thanks.

  • thats great and you got to fly over some great scenery!

  • I sense envy on those airline pilots.

It seems like they are bowing to the real aircraft!

  • I was lucky to fly in a P-51D last year in Williams AZ over the grand Canyon. The pilot did a lot of maneouvers and tight turns. It was out of this world. I only took pictures not video :(

  • Loud, can't imagine how loud it is with 6 .50's blaring...

  • wow amazing. i have this plane on RC. great video.

  • your right i bet those airline pilots at that time wish they were flying the pony and not a flying bus:)cool

  • great movie!!!!!

  • Who's holding the camera? Love the last line.

  • What a sight for those folks in the airliners waiting to go! Wow!

  • Never forget Y-29, the P-51 Mustang and P-47 Thunderbolts finest hour!!!

  • ya that airbus better show some respect to that airplane haha

  • WoW cool video always wondored what it would be like flying in one of these birds thanks.Ya and i can only imagine what it would be like flying from england to berlin in one of these.

  • Far out video!!! Can you imagine flying from England to Berlin and back in one of these? Thanks for the great video.

  • Thank you for the excellent vid. Now I can give my boy an idea of what it was like in my P-51 ride in 1982. The exhaust smelled exotic. The distance to the wing tips seemed VERY short. The exhaust note sounded like a Ford flathead V-8 with open exhaust and a low power setting. Same sound most of the time from inside the cockpit. The only indication of real speed was when the pilot, Bob Love, put the canopy 10 feet below the bottom of the cloud deck. Wow! You were lucky and so was I!

  • Beautiful aircraft!

  • Thanks a bunch for sharing. Wonderful video without any music. Sweet.

  • sick!

  • The avionics have been upgraded i see.

  • cadillac of the sky

  • Thanks for that video bro, that rocks. You are a lucky biatch indeed ;-) That makes my 540 seem like a go-kart engine heh

  • I want a video of a takeoff!

  • I've sat in it's cockpit while it was on the ground at Airshow 2007 in Aalborg, Denmark! What I wouldn't give to actually get a ride :O

  • Real Engine Noise works best with Merlins..

  • Oh you lucky bastard haha! How did you get to fly in Old Crow? You are one of a lucky few my friend!

    Thanks for uploading!

  • Great video, must have been a sweet ride.

  • very cool and nice to hear that sound with no music !

  • Totally Agree, still Baffles me how they see over the nose to taxi.

  • they dont see over the nose, they preform S turns

  • seriousily all i want to here is thoes horser rumbling

  • today i saw the old crow at a airshow in germany oppenheim it was the best.

  • "well, we survived".. haha :D

  • Just Wonderful to experience! THANKS... J R

  • Waiting for it to download... and I know that this absolutely "sick" before I see it! THANKS FROM A 51 Y/O KID! J R

  • Nice. One of my favorite plains from an era long passed.

  • Fanbloodytastic....Don't even consider changing that engine noise for rock & roll music. Real flying.

  • Have you have any more of these videos , brilliant.
