The way that the WarFans worked in battle it that they were 6 to 12 flat metal peice's that were connected at one end to make them look like a paper fan, how ever the other side that were not connected normaly had a sword blade sharpness to them or in the case that it was to look good there were sharpend hook looking ends or some other desines...
