OMG!! I've waited and prayed that there was some footage of CCR from Woodstock and it may now be surfacing!!! I'm 53 now and want more if it's around - is there enough for a DVD - please?
@MrPoorboy1958 Apparently John Fogerty wasn't satisfied with the band's performance, so vetoed the footage being used in the film, but I think it was added in for the 40th anniversary
I can't understand how people in my age (15) do not apreciate that kind of music. It's only like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber. C'mon! Creedence, Elvis, Beatles, Johnny Cash... this is a REAL kind of music.
This is so sexy and awesome! Classic rock and roll at its best. The first time I heard this song ever, I was 16 riding in the cheer sponsor's station wagon going from a Yuma where we'd had a football game. We were driving through the dark desert back to Chandler late at night and I leaning back just staring at the sky. I Put a Spell on You came on either KRUX or KRIZ and I fell in love with it and John at that very second! :-0 Amazing it was live @ Woodstock & is the best rendition ever!
I like the look the drummer, Doug Clifford, sends to John Fogerty at the end. Just like he wants to say: Was it good enough? - we know that Doug always wanted to live up to what John expected of him.
fuckin hippys how dare they mess with john fogerty and give millions of people 3 fuckin songs from woodstock . i will never buy a shitty hippy woodstock dvd for 3 fuckins ccr tracks ... i hate most of the hippy bands that played at woodstock so why would i want to buy the dvd for them no thanks ... we wantthe full ccr show from woodstock not with a dvd full of hippys
Before listening to "I put a spell on you" version of CCR, I could never guess why John Fogerty was in the Top 10 of Best Guitar Players of All Times.
If I knew someone with a time machine... I would kill them, take it and go there. (wait, time machines can transport you from california to the east coast right? Yeah, I thought so)
@CORZER0 The Doors were a very famous rock group from 1965-1971, with the charismatic Jim Morrison as the frontman. Jim Morrison is still famous today, and well remembered, even though he died at age of 27 in Paris in 1970 or 1971. Some famous Doors songs are Light My Fire and Riders on the Storm. The other 3 Doors performers are still living today, including Ray Manzarek, the keyboardist, who gave the Doors much of their distinct sound with his keyboards.
I was 13 the first time I heard John Fogerty's voice and I thought he was black. I think it was this song, too. Then I saw an album cover and I said to myself whoa, that's a white boy! I have loved him to this day.
Was 18 when I first saw CCR live like the earlier comment it was in Houston too, Sam Houston Coliseum 1970,71 and 73. This brings back soo many wonderful memories.
Thanks for this posting. It is wonderful! I went to see these guys live in Houston, TX around this time (I was about 15). It was a bar-like atmosphere with a low ceiling and we were standing right in front. The energy exuded by John Fogerty was amazing. Watching this made me feel like I was back there in heaven again.

Notice at 1:45 - 1:47 when John is looking down to his left as he's playing his guitar. Hot, hot, hot! Ouch.

CCR, and John Fogerty, in their own special way, was every bit as good and as charismatic as The Doors and Jim Morrison were.
