  • woww that really helped!!:)

  • can u just do my homework for me?

  • @XxcookemanxX

    ugly

  • Good explaination

  • how do i do something like .08060 with scientific notation then?

  • @bionicannon move that decimal two spaces to your right, making it 08.060 or simply 8.060. Now that you know you have moved two to the RIGHT there will be a NEGATIVE exponent. So your coefficient is 8.060 and your exponent is -2 (this is your exponent because to make the coefficient you moved the decimal TWO spaces to the right). Finally your scientific notation should be 8.060 x 10 (to the power of -2). Good Luck bro

  • ok i needed this too .. i am subbing !!

  • me too. please tell me please tell me where does the 10 came from? :(

  • where is the 10 came from?

i understand the 5th power but the 10? why 10?

  • @durugistaako ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT ITS VERY BASIC 10 TO 5TH IS 100000 GET IT?IM JUST AN ELEMENTARY STUDENT

  • @Blackwave09

yah, hehe, i already get it,

  • @durugistaako yea whereeeee whereeee whereeeee???????????? confused a lot about that 10 4 realz

  • @durugistaako its always 10 never change that LOL

  • @durugistaako Just put a fracking 10 down hahaha

  • thiss really helps a lot

  • But a least she should smile since she know that lots of peeps gonna see this video ! =)

  • straightforward and helpful! thank you very much! :-)

  • she'd prolly find me pretty cute too, if i didn't drool like a moron every time i look at a math problem >.<

  • press 7 repeatdly

  • I bet you'd look even more perty if you atleast cracked a smile :)

Thank you for the tutorial, really helped! :D

  • Thank you that was so amazing, I've tried to study it alone for more than 90min I could not get it right away from the book. You are a perfect teacher. Good luck in your career

  • but why ten again?

  • she sounds like a foriener

  • shes pretty! my mom says she really good at math

  • 10 is used because we are using Decimal number representation. Decimal number representation has a base 10. Base 10 means that we represent the numbers as 10 to the power of X (10^x). This is just the way we represent numbers in our society. There are other ways to represent the same number, hexadecimal, octadecimal, binary.

    So for example a number 230 can actually be represented by 2x10^2 + 2x10^1 +2x10^0 = 230.

You need to learn decimal number representation to fully.

  • How does the 10 come into play? how did you get it?

  • @tabithalacen2 u just do it...o well! :/

  • @tabithalacen2 It is always a 10 because of the 0s.

  • @BrillyGracey thanks man, i was thinking the same thing too.

  • @rocks297 You're welcome(:.

  • How did you get 10?

  • How did you get 10?

  • robot! not human!

  • i would be so bored if she was my teacher

  • dat ass

  • @Soratris LMAO

  • ima use this to pass my CAHSEE

  • lmao i used this and another video to do my homework.

  • WHERE DID U GET THE FKIN 10 FROM?!?!?!....your no help with homework that is due the next day

  • @BarrettKIQSer

When you multiply by 10, or a power of ten, you move your decimal to the right one place for each zero in that power of 10. So if she needs to write it in scientific notation, she multiplies her new number by 10^5 (since to get it back to the original number she needs to go 5 places to the right). Hope that helps you.

  • @tutoringecon i already got it....thanks anyway :P

  • SHE'S SO BLANDDD!!!

  • DAM SHE HAWT

  • Comment removed

  • That's my boo

  • That's my boo

  • @mysententia She doesn't have to smile...?

  • @mysententia dude this is math not p.e.... of course it hurts to smile!! lol

  • @mysententia its easy but her explanation is boring

  • @mysententia

they were probably told not to

  • @mysententia If I had her job, I wouldn't be smiling either

  • THANKYOU ROBOT LADY :D

  • y u gotta sound all robotic n stupid

  • Scientific notation is easy.

  • Maybe she's a bit stern, but she gets to the point and knows what she's talking about, and in the end that really is all that matters.

  • all the teachers in these vids are scary

  • @MrMeek2012 they are trying to be proffessional.. lol

  • @MrMeek2012

you wrote: "all the teachers in these vids are scary."

No kidding! I wish I could keep this series from popping up on my screen when i do searches. they suck.

  • You are so good at teaching that we decided to follow all of your videos for Homeschooling!! Great job, keep up the good work.

    God Bless You!

  • I don't like this Notation stuff, it's confusing lol

  • If you want to become good at math go to my youtube channel: (Youlovemathematics). In my channel i will teach you everything about math step by step. youlovemathematics

  • i enjoy how she talks slow and clear my math teacher explains a lot but rushes it all out...thank you very much

  • shes talking like she has a stick up her ass :S

  • thank you for your help

  • Shes russian.....Obviously.

  • @MrJim255 Trust me, she isn't. I would know. They're trying to do the russian face, but they all fail at it; only a REAL russian can do it.

  • o'really?

  • me passing math but i dont uderstand this.

  • nice vid i now get it but she sounds like a robot. and she talks weird. lol ty.

  • why is it that i can understand her but i'm failing math?????

    my teacher sucks.

  • thank u!!!

  • Milf

  • What always confuses me is that every time your going to change it into exponent form i confuse myself by forgetting which way to go to left or right to make it positive or negative. If there's any way some of you know a better way to remember please tell me i almost fail Physics because if this.

    -Thanks

  • @tonystark159357 :) I'm still an eighth grader so i'm not completely sure if I'm right :p

ex; 620,000. = 6.20000 x 10 exponent 5 : because we moved the dot 5 places to the left to make it have only one whole number :)

ex; 0.000062 = 6.2 x 10 exponent -5 (negative 5) because we moved the dot five places to the right to get make it have only one whole number :)

  • @tonystark159357 So basically if we move the dot from right to left , it will be positive. But if we move the dot from left to right, it's a negative exponent.

    Hope this helps :)

  • @dandelionwebshow2000

omg i get it! I GET IT! wow thanks that made it look super simple. thanks i appreciate it.

  • i love this woman. i wish you were my teacher! mine sucks she gets mad if you asks questions "You nevr listen" then she chews you out and gives you this look like your stupid and repeats it, and when you get a bad grade she says how come you dont ask questions "you need to be asking questions!". sooo annoying!

  • awesome! She explained it perfectly.

  • THIS IS HELPFUL!!!!

  • Thank you for refreshing my memory! =)

  • this s@#$ is so f#$I%NG hard

  • she is the best!

  • ang gulo T_T

  • @amythesuperstar hala :)) kaya mu yan :))

  • @xrrmeyn :))

  • omg nigga look at your face!

    lobsided much?

  • Thank you!!!

  • i kinda gett it...so no matta what u have to times it by 10? thatz tha part i'm stuck on buh thnx fa tha help anyways

  • the 1o..????

  • she looks like minnie driver in good will hunting

  • how did you get the 10?

  • @titoshinigami Why would you look up a video on scientific notation when you obviously don't know what scientific notation is?

  • @titoshinigami

In scientific notation, you're trying to find the powers of the base number "10" for a given number.

  • @titoshinigami take the 6.42 x 10 ^5 and work it out on you calculator... you should come up with the 642, 000. because 10 to the 5 power is 100000, now multiply it with 6.42..and wah la you get 642,000. scientific notation is so you don't have to write all the zeros out.. because it is mainly used when calculating scientific data... ; ) hope that helps

  • where did you get the 10 from

  • I bet she is crazy in bed, thx for the help too.

  • she made my teacher who teaches for a whole hour look like an intern

  • If it was not for youtube and yourteacher my math grade will be the biggest epic fail in the history of epic fails

  • She looks like carrie (the movie)

  • Thanks for the help. I'll be taking the STAR Testing in a few days and I forgot how to do Scientific Notation.

  • is the 10 there to represent the original place where the decimal point was?? anybody know?

  • whered the 10 come from?

  • @blazeman139 ya i was thinking the same thing i think the 10 represents the original place value of the decimal point... im guessing

  • what should i do if my pen stops writing?

  • Thank you! I understand now! :)

  • that bitch is hot...

  • Drunk?

  • FEMALE! Unbelievable!!1!

  • NICE!

  • Wow thx this really helped! my teacher spent a WHOLE period trying to explain this shit but it only took me about 2 minutes here! Thank you so much!

  • same here..

  • gracias exelente le entendi mejor a ti que a mi maestra,,gracias.

  • how come if i do 0.0000678, it would have a negative exponent.

  • @arjayb0326 you would have to move your decimal to the left

  • ur pretty

  • That's my mom so you guys can shuuuuuuuuuutup!

  • @MrJohnAlexanderG really?

  • @H2E2I2D2I Yeah man, her names kraven,

    our last name is Morhed

  • she is creepy

  • @gbproductions123 she's cute unless you're a homo

  • @gbproductions123 she learned how to math in soviet Russia

  • Where the hell did she get 10?

  • Because scientific notation is based on the power of 10. It's whole purpose is to break down complicated numbers.

  • @danielkirk1 i see thanks

  • @danielkirk1 yes well explained ty for the insight

  • Anytime man.

  • Comment removed

  • THANKS! I missed like 3 days so the book was confusing. This really helped. ?THANKS AGAIN!

  • she is weird

  • She talks weird. ???

  • y are they using 10 as the base instead of a diffrent number

  • Because scientific notation is based on the power of 10.

  • koolz

  • you did well

  • thanks i was out all week and my techer gave me a huge packet of wat i missed

  • i've learned that there is a different type of scientific notation that does not always have 10 to a power ive learned it could be maybe 6 to a power or 5 to a power or any number between 10

  • thank you again!!!! ima have a test on this tomoro im nervous

  • ur better than my techers

  • @Berlinwoodboards your right! shes better than my teachers too she explains clearly and i really understand... not like my teacher.. she speak fast and treatening us.. -.-

  • @Berlinwoodboards i wonder if she could help you with spelling as well

  • @xkeltoix I wonder if you will ever shut the fuck up

  • @Berlinwoodboards No, I wont.

Did you expect me to become offended by that? If so, you fail this class as well.

  • all of her words kinda seem like they're running together

  • i was sent here by my online science teacher

  • thnx i was lost and decided to go here thnx i owe you big time

  • she's incredibly weird and annoying.

  • where does the ten come from?

  • I think 6.42 x 10^5 = 642,000. So doing scientific notation your multiplying the decimal version by how many places after the decimal x 10 and always will be 10 to a power

  • thank you for your teaching I hope that their is more lesson you teach us

  • Thank you my teacher.

  • suckz to be in public school..Cant learn shit wid niggas around

  • lmfao.

  • ROFL
