That's how it was in St. Louis, MO they got rid of our smooth jazz station in 2003 and I really miss it, but life moves on. And I couldn't agree with you more, the 80's and early 90's for me was the best times for contemporary or smooth jazz.

This music is not for everybody and it's allright, worked in cocktail bars and the vibes sent by my selection was a filter: some people just turned around by hearing bensons,hancocks,masons etc.. and others became regulars and guess? Are those pictures of US Route 101 in the west coast?? If so, then I'm not surprised. Great song and it does go well with driving "southbound" (actually more like eastbound) on US Route 101 from Goleta, CA to Hollywood, CA.

That's great to develop an ear for smooth jazz at 12. I started out listening to smooth jazz at 9 or 10 when my cousin came over and played guitar chords of Earl Klugh and George Benson in the late 70's early 80's, but I really got into it when I was 14.
