I dont think anyone respects S.U.P.'s except fellow S.U.P. riders. They sit way outside the pack and sweep into waves just to get in a survival stance till they get to the shoulder. Only guy who rips that shit is Laird.

I could provide you with tons of footage of my wipeouts on a SUP- but I still seem to smile a whole lot more than the shivering surfers sitting in the water. ;-) Seriously, youtube needs to be named FIght Club. Why start a fight posting silly vids when you could be surfing or reading a book instead? SUP is growing so fast, it will overtake surfing in popularity. It's more fun and more convenient for most conditions except for this and pipeline, etc. Get over it and go buy a SUP and enjoy!

@kbkesq It's not more convenient to strap a 20 foot sup on top of my volvo and drive to the break then walk 20 minutes down hill through a rainforest, rather than throw my 6'0 into the back and run down to the beach with in snuggly under my arm
