In the day ALL bands wore makeup and big hair (minus heavy metal i.e. metallica, megadeth, etc.) Crue vs. Poison is Apples vs. Oranges. They are both fruit (glam rock) but different flavors. Crue was edgier more in your face. Poison was a straight up and down party band......kids today.

No complaints here - overall it was great! Way too much good stuff happened (personally, I mean) to get into here. Do yourself a favour though and don't 'wish' your life away; you'll be 27 soon enough, and who knows - it might be better than the '80s. Take it slow & make the most of it

Metal if you wish, but i say Rock because Rock has always been about having a good time, "do what you want, have fun"... feelgood stuff you could dance to. Metal usually takes on more of an aggressive theme.. but anyway back to the fashion, glam + Sleaze are completely different.
