I miss "Classic Car Restoration" on DIY Network. I know they didn't always do everything right, but I wish they were still around. I can't even afford that channel anymore, and if I could all the shows would be about changing drapes and watching someone else landscape your yard.
Steve Magnante, Mark Lambert, Ron Ananian - wherever you are, I salute you. Bruce Bonebrake and Kevin Tetz (before Trucks!) I miss you too. :)
loving the California Special taillights...makes it look like a real California special edition mustang...but they're a few years early...GT/CS didn't come out until 1968
This is a RestoMod, not a Restoration. Restorations look identical or similar to original, have most of the original specs, and include accessories that would have only been available at the time. When you get to point that you're completely changing the taillights and swapping the engines, it isn't a restoration. "T for take it out". Yeah, bs.
i am a proud owner of an F code, is as it was in '65.the motor in it is good enuf, all those mods you have done are must do, bet your 'stang has some get up and go!!!
since when are Mustangs muscle cars? They weren't marketed as muscle cars. They were originally sold to compete with European cars. Even the small 289 V8s aren't that fast.
This is a disgrace. This isn't a restoration. Once you start tearing out "original" equipment and replacing it with "modern" equipment, it's no longer a restoration. It's like taking the Mayflower, cutting the masts down and putting in a diesel engine. I don't get it. Why would anyone ruin a classic mustang and think it looks better than when it came off the showroom floor?
they fucked it up so bad its not even funny. the mustangs a classic. the fantasy for everyone is to be like steve mcqueen hahaha can u picture steve mcqueen in bullit riding on speed with a fucking mp2 player or a cd changer hahahahahahahahah what shit!
@techiscool1 srsly if you don't love the car and accept its faults then let someone who does really like it have it. resto mods take more money than taking it to perfect stock, meaning it will cost more than a restored car so people who like them for what they are would never buy it and then put it back how it was or they would lose money. So if you do a "restomod" its basically stuck like that forever.

Was really impressed up until the dash board. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They should have put original dials or very least same type as the old ones.

They really killed it with the dash and tail lights in my opinion.

Restomods, for people who like how a car looks but not anything else about it. If you dont like it for what it is please leave it alone people.
